Boy, there you go
You're telling me that you love me
But boy you know

That you belong to another girl who loves you
You are so fine
You blow my mind

(Things you do) with the things you do to me
(She sees) She's not blind, not blind
Things you do, things you do for me, but I know
I'm so into you

I don't know what I'm gonna do
Boy, you got me so confused
I don't know what I'm gonna do

The Next Week - Sunday

"Efi what are you smiling at?" my dad asked with his eyebrow raised causing me to drop the grin on my face.

"Oh nothing" I shut my phone off under the table and continued eating the basico my mother made

Basico- a South Sudanese cuisine made up of sesame, greens, and smoked meat

Both my parents eyed me suspiciously but continued their light conversation. Once they did I turned my phone back on.

Gramps👴🏼

You almost got me in trouble!

Hey it's not my fault, you're the one who was insisting that we continue to play 21 questions

It is your fault because I asked you a good question yesterday and you gave me a one word answer, then left

Efi you asked me if you I could go any place in the world where would it be. I told you the Maldives

Ok, but you didn't elaborate

Your mother was right, you are very nosy

I gasped which caused my parents to turn their attention to me yet again.

I chuckled lightly pretending I dropped my fork to advert their attention from me but my mother's gaze was prominent

"Efi Dahlia Sai just because you're an adult now doesn't mean rules at the table don't still apply. No phones, you know that."

I sighed and put my phone on the table where they could see it

Sunday lunch was and will always be very important to my parents and I. After church we cook and we eat together. It's the one day we all clear out our schedule for. Whether it had to be virtual or in person, we never missed a Sunday.

We all have busy lives which causes us to not talk a lot during the week (mostly my dad since I work with my mom) so Sunday lunch is our catch up day. And since I'm the only child, my parents and I are very close, they like to know what's new in my life.
