Brilliance in Dark Matter

She was covered from head to toe in bruises, day and night. She went to school, putting up a façade, like everything was ok.

Who was she?

She was Nadia, Nadia Sommers. 

Her father was ruthless and unkind, with not an inch of love in his heart. Nadia survived by hiding and obeying, even when strange men came into her room at night, and walked back out after an hour to place Benjamin Franklins in her father's hand.

She suffered greatly, but her mind remained intact. So when she was given the opportunity to skip grades and go to college at the age of 16, she took it. 

Nadia was willing to do anything to get away from the man whom she called her father. Studying under a scholarship, Nadia tried to forget the nights when she went home. 

She was brilliant in school, doing better than the rest of the normal aged college students. But she stayed out of the limelight and hid herself, so no one could ever find out her dark secret. 

But when a young [man/woman] bumped into her on a summer's evening, their first look was going to be the beginning of saving brilliance in dark matter.
