"Tomorrow, I will be playing Mary in the Easter play," Eloise said. I was seated with her in the library during our free.

Eloise and a boy named Cameron were our class representatives. I had decided to seat with her because I had fallen out with my friends. They were scattered around the library seated with other people.

"Are you coming for the play tomorrow?" she asked.

If things had been better then my answer would have been yes but for now the answer was no.

No!

"Are you sure?" she asked. I promise you will enjoy it. This year I will play Mary Magdalene. Last year I played Mary, the mother of Jesus. I promise you will like my performance.

I will think about it.

She smiled. "Adessa, I hope things are better for you after the holidays," she said. This term, things between Kemi and you escalated.

I doubt it. That girl hates my guts.

"Janine told me that Kemi heard one of the boys in the soccer team talking about how you and Tendai were secretly hooking up," she said. It was an open secret amongst them. She stayed over yesterday after the match and followed you and him to a bar you had gone to.
