it has been two days since you arrived back at Portland and you are putting on your funeral dress. You are struggling with the zip

"Hey Will can you give me a hand?" you ask because you've decided to give up

"yea sure," he replies as he enters the room

"turn around,"

you turn around

"Thanks, Will," you say

"I've made breakfast," he adds as he zips your dress

Two minutes later and you are organised minus breakfast

"I'm not really hungry," you say thinking about the sadness that's about to come

"I'll put it to you this way (Y/N), you should know the best thing about going through grief is the fact that you can learn more about yourself as a person," Will says giving you a little pep talk

"I know but it's just... it's hard ok going through this again," you respond, glad that Will came with you

"do you have the speeches prepared?"

"yes, Will I do," You retort

"ok at least have a bite," Will says trying to convince you to eat

"ok fine," you respond as you take a bite

"better?"

"a little," you reply between bites

Thirty minutes later and you are both at the funeral and there are ten other people including Tommy

"Tommy how are you holding up?" you ask

"not too well but work has helped, how about you" your brother replies

"I well I actually think because I've been through this before I feel a little more understanding if you know what I mean," you say reflecting on your mother's death

"anyway everyone is here so I think we can start,"

five minutes later and it's your turn to say something and you get up and walk on stage. You are visibly distressed. You are also thinking of whether or not to go with what you have written down. You decide to go off script

"to be honest I don't have to say much," you start off

"Alex helped me realise my passion for medicen by encouraging me to be by my brother’s side and it was that day I realised Alex was the father figure I needed. Alex may you rest in peace,” you feel the tears run down your cheek

Will notices and he walks on stage to give youa big hug

Another twenty minutes later you are by Alex's grave and Will us by your side

“thanks for being here with me,” you say still a little sad

“no worries you are my girlfriend” he replies making you smile longingly

“let me guess you wish your life was different” he remarks noticing your smile

“Yes I do,” you reply thinking about the stuff that happened
