The next morning was peaceful. Jayon had still been next to me when I woke up, and the sun was shining right into my room. The clock read 9:37 am, and his hand had still been tangled in my braids.

I played with the surface of his chest, staring at him as he slept. I knew he was about to wake up from the way he was frowning his face.

"You must not like that," I mumble, waiting for him to open his eyes.

"Niggas can never sleep in peace when you around," he tells me quietly. His voice had been lower than usual because he was barely waking up.

"Yes you can," I roll my eyes.

"Nah," he says. "What time is it?"

"20 minutes till 10," I answer.

"Damn," he yawns, getting up from under me. "I left my cousin at my grammas. I promised him I'd be back in the morning,"

"Jayon," I whine. "Are you serious? I wanted to spend the whole day with you,"

"We can baby, but my cousin has to be included. I mean, I want him to meet you,"

"Aw," I blush. Even in the early mornings, Jayon still managed to make me happy. "Well Amber's here, shes in my brother's bed. We can all hang today,"

"You sure she'll be cool with it?" He asks, picking up his pants.

"Yeah," I rub my eyes. "It'll be fun,"

"What are we gonna do?" He puts his pants on slowly, trying to keep himself balanced.

"Anything, the mall, movies, ice-skating," I begin to list the activities that were available in Las Vegas. We had more options then people thought. I was never bored here, unless I was home.

"Ice-skating?" He laughs. "The fuck do I look like ice-skating?"

"You would look like a cute little boy," I tell him, smiling.

"Fuck all that,"

"Stop cussing so much," I say slapping him on his arm.

"I'll try," he shrugs, slipping his shoes back onto his feet.

I shake my head, looking for a tank top to put on. I couldn't walk out of my room with just a bra on, my mom wouldn't know how to act, neither would Deon or Amber. She knew I would never have sex in her house, but she also loved jumping to conclusions. Walking out in a bra was something I had done already but it was different though because I had a boy over. I wasn't even sure if my mother knew Jayon had stayed the night.

We leave my room after a few minutes, noticing that Deon's bed was empty when I passed his room.

We started to walk down the stairs slowly, looking around to see if my mom was around.

"If you're looking for mom, she went to work. You know she works before 9 right?" Deon had seen us emerging from the stairs in a sneaky manner. He was wide awake, flicking the channels of the tv.

"I wasn't looking for mom," I lie, jumping off the last step.

"I was," Jayon said, fixing his shirt.

"Hey Jayon," Deon sarcastically waved at him, rolling his eyes.

"Wassup lil nigga,"
