Ok this isn't really about Led Zeppelin but oh well. I wanted to get my point across, which is that I've had enough of people bitching that all older music is amazing and that all music made after the year 2000 is shit. This rant isn't aimed at anyone in particular but I just wanted to highlight that that statement isn't true at all. (I've mentioned this in a previous chapter but here as some actual recommendations).

- Kaleo - Listen to I Can't Go On Without You if you want your heart broken, Broken Bones if you like blues, and No Good if you like hard rock

- Rag n Bone Man - Listen to Hard Came The Rain, No Mother, St James and Human. I know he's been in the top 40 and some of his newer stuff is a bit generic, but his voice is incredible and bluesy and his lesser known songs are great

- The White Stripes - Listen to Blue Orchid, I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself (it's almost Beatle-like), Seven Nation Army (you should know this one), and Jolene (I know Jolene is by Dolly Parton but just listen to the emotion in their cover). This band has Jack fucking White in it, if anyone says he's not a good musician then I just don't know anymore

- The Raconteurs - Listen to Steady As She Goes, Broken Boy Soldier (this one is unmistakably Led Zeppelin inspired). Again, this band (a supergroup) has Jack White

- The Killers - Mr Brightside

- Franz Ferdinand - Listen to Take Me Out

- The Hoosiers - Listen to Worried About Ray and Goodbye Mr A

- Arctic Monkeys - When The Sun Goes Down, I Bet That You Look Good On The Dance Floor

- The Last Shadow Puppets - Calm Like You, My Mistakes Were Made For You

- Suede - Animal Nitrate

- The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger

- Kasabian - Shoot The Runner, Fire

- Green Day - American Idiot, St Jimmy, Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)

And some others...
The LibertinesQueens Of The Stone AgeFoo Fighters, The Amazons, The Black Keys, Muse

Now these are all excellent rock bands. So people who complain that there's no good modern music, check these out.
