Chapter 12

Aiah's POV

KINABUKASAN

Nagising nalang kami lahat dahil sa narinig naming sigaw ni Sheena sa shower room.

I guess someone already found the body.

Joke lang. I harmed nobody. Well, not yet.

Napabalikwas ang girls at nagmadaling lumabas para tingnan kung anong nangyari.

Sumunod naman ako.

"Anong nangyayari?." Tanong ko.

"M-may ipis." Kabadong sabi ni Sheena habang pinapakalma ni Gwen.

"Akala ko naman kung ano tsk." Sabi ni Maloi at ayun nagsibalikan na kami at habang pabalik dun nakita ko na naman si Mikha na kasama yung babaeng yun.

I heard her name is Jasmine Henry, she's the President of the Music Club. She's probably just helping Mikha with her performance tonight.

"Alright, see you sa booth later." I heard Jasmine say at may pabeso pa talaga ah.

Pake mo ba Aiah?

Andito na kami sa music class kung saan si Jasmine ang nagfafacilitate pero wala parang wala nakong naririnig sa mga pinagsasabi nya sa harap because I can't simply keep my eyes off of Mikha who's currently staring and smiling at her.

Mikha's POV

Napalingon ako saglit sa may bintana and saw I guess 7 people wearing the mascots of shame sa ground.

There were 7 characters actually.

1 - Unicorn
2 - Rainbow Bird
3 - Fat Cow
4 - Street Dog *with fleas*
5 - Sewer Rat
6 - Black Cat
7 - Snake

Ano kayang nagawa nila?

Oh yeah, even outside the campus dala dala parin yan ng Student Council to keep us away from mess.

7 PM

I looked around from the backstage but I can't find Jaz anywhere in the crowd. She said she'll be here to watch my performance.

"Please welcome our next performer, our most beloved MVP, former volleyball Team Captain, the one only Mikhaela Jana Lim!." Sabi ng host and the crowd suddenly went wild.

"Mikha Lim! Mikha Lim! Mikha Lim!." Cheer nila, kaya medyo naibsan yung kaba ko lalo na nang makita ko sa crowd si Ate Aiah who is just smiling at me.

Aiah's POV

FLASHBACK

I wrote a letter to Jasmine and pretended that it was from Mikha and that Mikha has something important to tell her.

Of course, Jasmine who's been crushing on Mikha during this camp would unhesitantly come.

I told her to come to the library which is yung pinakamalayong part mula sa theater kung saan magpeperform si Mikha at kung saan di kami maririnig ng mga tao.

Jasmine came as expected, then I knocked her out from the back with a taser.

"Who are you?." She cried out of fear habang sinusubukan nyang tanggalin ang nakaposas sa kamay at mga paa nya.

There's no way she could recognize me inside this Unicorn mascot of shame, with the voice changer I prepared as well.

Anyway, stab stab stab stab stab. Your stab wounds will depend on how long Mikha smiled at you, so that would be 5 stabs for 5 seconds.

Inhale exhale

"By the way, I guess it's too late to say this but if anyone asks your ghost on your sudden demise, just blame it on Mikha's smile." I said with a grin and then left the scene like nothing happened at bumalik na sa theatre.

Good thing naabutan ko pa on time ang performance ni Mikha.

Kinongratulate namin si Mikha after winning 3rd place in the singing competition pero bakas sa mukha nya ang pag-aalala, she seem to be looking for a particular person in the crowd and I knew exactly who she's looking for.

"Uy, may hinahanap. Naku, malamang may inasikaso lang yun." Pabirong tukso ni Colet kay Mikha.

"S-sana nga." Sabi ni Mikha.

"Why don't you try to call her?." Sabi ni Colet.

"Girls, come on. Compress, di tayo kasya sa frame. Anyway, smile." Sabi ni Maloi as she took a picture of them on stage with Mikha.

"Congrats Mikha." I said with a smile but she just shook her head with no expression at all at bumaba na ng stage.

"Ate Aiah, parang kulang po ng isa yung mascots natin." Lapit naman sakin nina Abby at Sela.

"Ha? What do you mean?." Sabi ko lang.

"Chineck nyo ba yung list ng mga nagsuot nun for this day?." Tanong ko.

"Yes po pero sinauli naman po nila lahat after nilang gamitin. Ako po yung nagcollect nun pero pagbalik namin to check the storage area, anim nalang po ang natira." Sabi ni Sela.

"Okay, let's try to look for it tomorrow nalang. Take a rest na muna guys. And by the way, good job for today." Mahinahon kong sabi sa dalawa.

"Thank you Ate Aiah/Aiah." They appreciatively said at bumalik na sa tents nila.

Naglakad na rin ako pabalik sa kwarto namin and I clung my hand to Mikha's arm nang maabutan ko sya.

"Are you okay?." Tanong ko rito at tumango lang siya.

I'm sorry Mikha.

Love is a battlefield, but for me, it's more like a minefield. One wrong step, and boom! Cupid's arrow becomes a lethal weapon.
