Alone on the empty benches overlooking the deserted basketball court, Jake found solace during the lunch break. The distant echoes of laughter from other parts of the school created a serene backdrop as he unwrapped the sandwich he had bought from the school canteen. The crisp air carried a sense of tranquility, providing a brief respite from the usual hustle of the cafeteria.

Placing his two strawberry milks down beside him, Jake sighed. Originally, Sunoo was supposed to join him for lunch, but duty had called the vibrant and popular friend away to attend to some responsibilities around the school. The empty space next to Jake on the bench seemed to echo the absence of his usual lunchtime companion.

As Jake continued to indulge in his solitary lunch, the distant sounds of laughter and chatter fading into the background, he remained blissfully unaware of the approaching trio - Heeseung, Jay, and Sunghoon. Little did he know that Sunghoon, the instigator of mischief, had suggested to Heeseung that it was the perfect time to make a move. Heeseung, intrigued by the idea, agreed, and the trio strolled toward the basketball court.

Sunghoon and Jay, sharing knowing glances, decided to engage in a casual game of basketball, leaving Heeseung to carry out the plan. As they dribbled and shot hoops, they occasionally stole glances at the unfolding scene on the bench.

Heeseung, walking with a casual swagger, approached Jake, who was still engrossed in his own thoughts. The gentle breeze ruffled Heeseung's hair as he took a seat beside Jake, an air of nonchalance disguising the mischievous glint in his eyes.

Sunghoon, ever the observer, whispered to Jay, "Watch this. Heeseung's about to turn on the charm."

As Heeseung settled beside Jake, he couldn't help but notice the slight blush that adorned Jake's cheeks, a reaction that didn't go unnoticed by the watchful eyes of Sunghoon and Jay.

"Enjoying your solitary lunch, Jake?" Heeseung remarked with a playful smile, leaning back on the bench.

Jake, maintaining his cool exterior, replied, "Well, it was solitary until you guys decided to crash the party. What brings you here?"

Heeseung, undeterred, continued, "Just passing by, thought we'd join you for a bit. Mind if I share your bench?"

Jake, ever the epitome of nonchalance, gestured casually, "Go ahead. The more, the merrier, I guess."

As Sunghoon and Jay continued their basketball game, Heeseung subtly shifted closer to Jake, the conversation flowing effortlessly between them. He couldn't resist the opportunity to add a touch of flirtation to the air, gauging Jake's reactions with each carefully crafted gesture.

"So, Jake," Heeseung began, feigning innocence, "any exciting plans for the rest of the day?"

Jake, catching onto the underlying tone, smirked, "Not really. Just the usual routine. Why? Planning to add some excitement?"

Heeseung, with a twinkle in his eye, replied, "Who knows? Life is too short for monotony. Maybe a bit of spontaneity wouldn't hurt."

Their banter continued, a subtle dance of words and glances that wove a playful narrative between them. Sunghoon and Jay, stealing glances between shots, couldn't help but appreciate the unfolding drama. The city beyond the basketball court carried on with its daily rhythm, oblivious to the intricate dynamics playing out in this small corner of the school grounds.

As the conversation meandered, Jake, recalling the extra strawberry milk he had bought, decided to extend a friendly gesture. "Hey, Heeseung, want a strawberry milk? I got an extra one."

Heeseung, known for his aversion to sweet things, raised an eyebrow but accepted the offer with a bemused smile. "Sure, why not? A little sweetness won't hurt."
