"Nessa, what did you just say?"
"Cece, you're pregnant"
I glared at nothing in particular, "Vanessa, where did you get this?". I said holding up the sonogram
She rolled her eyes, "Obviously at the hospital". She said making me suck my teeth
"When I was collecting your medication, the nurse came up to me and told me to give you the envelope but I decided against it because we weren't speaking and I didn't want you to stress even more because it could have been anything in this envelope". She explained making me nod my head
I sighed, "And it just so happened to be a sonogram". I said shaking my head
She hissed, "Yeah". She said
But this shit doesn't add up. Before I left for New York, Semaj and I slept with each other and that was like the first time we ever did something like that.
I furrowed my eyebrows, "But how Nessa, Semaj and I slept with each other like days ago". I said
She rose her eyebrow, "If I'm not wrong, the day before we went to New York?". She asked making me nod my head
I calculated, "So eleven days ago". I said thinking back to it
Got a bitch hot and shit.
She cleared her throat, "Well, the sonogram date is the 19th". She said
I snapped my fingers, "The day I was admitted to the hospital". I said making her nod her head
She spoke, "So this came about with the other tests they did on you". She took the sonogram from me
She furrowed her eyebrows, "It says 'day 3' on the sonogram". She said
I hummed, "So I'm three days pregnant, I didn't even know they put that on sonograms". I said
She shook her head, "Not three, six days pregnant". She said making me nod my head
She nodded her head, "Some do I think, hopefully whenever we go back to Florida, the other sonograms have that so you don't get confused". She said making me smile
I took back sonogram, "Who'd you tell?". I said tracing it
This feels so surreal, I, Simone Laysia Brown am pregnant, it does not fit. Mama Cece, nah. It is also crazy how life changes so unexpectedly and fast.
Literally just a week ago, I was catching up with Keon then Landon creeped back up from the past then three days ago I argued with Nessa and spent the night in hospital. Two days ago, I was on a private jet because I'm running from Landon crazy ass and now, I find out that I'm pregnant.
Ain't that something?
She shook her head, "Nobody, too stunned to speak". She said making me laugh
I looked at her with a smile, "Thank you for not telling nobody, I wouldn't know what to do if everybody knew about this". I said
She gave a small smile, "It's our secret". She said making me remember something
I sighed, "Speaking of secrets, I'm sorry for keeping all that shit about Landon and the gang from you. With Landon, it was just difficult to open up about it and with the crew, I had no choice, Tion told all of us not to tell you jack but either way, I'm sorry and I hope you see it in yourself to forgive me". I apologized as tears cascaded on my face
The hormones already kicking in?
She smiled, "Thank you for that and I forgive you". She said
She sighed, "I apologize too. I should have been a better friend and been there for you even if you made it seem like you were okay. I'm also trying to understand better about the lifestyle we're involved in but just know I do care for you, Simone. That shit will never change". She said making me smile as I wiped my tears
I gave her a hug, "You're forgiven, babe". I said
I looked at her funny, "It's still fuck the gang". I asked jokingly
She sucked her teeth, "Fuck no, y'all just had me in my feelings". She said making us laugh
"So, you're gonna keep the baby?". She asked and I rubbed my stomach making her laugh
She rolled her eyes, "We can't even tell you're pregnant and you already rubbing that shit like it's out there". She said and I waved her off
I shrugged, "Welp, I'm finna be eating for two now". I said
She smiled, "So that means you're keeping the baby?". She asked making me nod my head
I smiled, "I am". I beat my stomach like a drum
I rose my eyebrow, "I wonder how I'm still pregnant after starving myself for four days". I said in disbelief
She shrugged, "be glad honestly, this baby might just get you through this". She said with a small smile
She sighed, "When are you telling Lee, you can tell the others at your own time but Lee and your momma need to know almost immediately". She said
I shook my head, "Definitely not telling him immediately but I'mma let my mama know soon". I said making her nod her head
She gave me a hug, "Congratulations, my bitch is pregnant". She said making me laugh
My phone rang making me pull away from Nessa and answer.
It was an unknown number, "Hello". I answered
"It's a rainy night in Georgia"
They finally made up, I missed them😭
