Chapter Three | Planning & Partying
"Oh my goodness you're stunning!" Kelly said.
"Absolutely beautiful!" My mother complimented.
I was smiling from ear to ear as I modeled a spectacular wedding dress that I had fallen in love with years ago and my stylist was finally able to track it down and get it for me.
I looked at myself in the mirror.
"It really does fit me," I said, looking flawless in my decadent bridal gown.
"Yes, the dress fits you perfectly!" My stylist exclaimed.
I looked at my stylist, who seemed satisfied.
"I don't think it needs any alterations," I said.
"Nah, it fits you like a glove. There's nothing that needs to be done to it," Kelly said.
"Okay, Kelly you need to try on your bridesmaid dress," I said as my stylist helped me out of my gown.
"So, am I wearing white too?" Kelly asked me.
I nod.
"Everyone is wearing white, you know to show how intimate the wedding is," I answered.
Kelly tries on her dress and squeals.
"I love it," Kelly said as she looks at herself in her curve-hugging white satin gown.
"You look amazing, Kelly," I said.
"Now will all your bridesmaids wear the same dress?" My mother asked me.
"No, while every dress will feature a side slit, the necklines will vary from one-shoulder or plunging to strapless or cowl neck but the dress will be white satin," I explained to my mother.
"And how many bridesmaids do you have?" My mother asked.
"Six," I told her.
"Okay, that's a good number," My mother said.
