And darlin', this is more than anything I felt before
You're everything that I want, but I didn't think I'd find
Someone who is worth the wait of all the years of my heartbreak
But I know now I found the one I love

"'TO CHRIS'" Knox read as he stood in front of the class with his poem in hand. Charlie smirked and looked up from writing profanity on his paper so that he could hear what his friend had to say. That was the day that they were sharing what they wrote, and to say that Caroline was a nervous wreck would be an understatement.

"'I see a sweetness in her smile.
Bright light shines from her eyes.
But life is complete;
contentment is mine,
Just knowing that...just knowing that she is alive.'"

Knox said the last part quietly because there were scattered snickers across the room throughout the entirety of his reading. Caroline thought it was cute, but Knox seemed discouraged as he walked back to his seat. "Sorry, Captain. It's stupid."

"No, no. It's not stupid. It's a good effort. It touched on one of the major themes—love. A major theme not only in poetry, but life. Mr. Hopkins, you were laughing. You're up." As Mr. Keating was speaking, Knox got a playful pat on the back from Charlie and a comforting smile from Caroline. She loved that he was so passionate about Chris, even if it was a little bit creepy.
