Lady Dimitrescu's Little One

chapter 2

Helene POV

I nuzzled into the nice lady's neck hugging her gently, she was so nice and kind! And her cold skin felt really good against my hot forehead

All of a sudden realisation hit me that I was hugging a stranger and I let go of her instantly, take a good 3-4 steps back and looking at her face, trying to see any hint of anger or disgust

"What's wrong little one?" She asked softly, still kneeled in front of me, her eyes looking at me with concern now

"I-I am sowwy" I mumbled out, mentally cursing myself for slipping right at this moment, the moment she heard me, her eyes widened a little bit and her face softened a little more

"Don't worry sweetheart, I like hugs. So do you want to stay here for the night?" The lady asks again with a smile making me nod slightly and causing her face to break out into a wide grin

"Good choice little one" Just as she said that, I saw a warm of flies come and from into a person a little away from both of us, who had a sickle coming from one hand and had a weird look on her face when she saw me "are we getting new food mom?" She asked with a wide smile, her eyes darting towards me

From the corner of my eye I could see the blood stains on her sleeves and dress and on the edges of her sickle, putting the pieces together, I jumped and hugged the lady by her legs, clinging on to them for dear life "d-don eat me, me sowwy, I go" I mumbled hoping that I was loud enough for the other person to hear

"She's not food Cassandra" The lady said in a firm tone, which caused the sickle to go away from her hand, making me sigh in relief

I felt myself being picked up and the lady placed me in her arms, which were really high up! Because she was sooooo tall! And I felt so cool!

"That's one of my daughter's Cassandra, she is sometimes a little eager for food" The lady said, giving the girl a look which caused her to blush slightly probably out of embarassment and look towards me with a curious glance

"Why's she clinging on to you mother?" She asked in a much softer tone this time, making me realise just exactly in what position I was and I hid my head in the nice lady's neck hoping it would be enough to hide me away

Lady Dimitrescu POV

The cute little girl, hid in my neck shyly, to hide away from Cassandra's glances, she understood something was different about this human and I was pleasantly surprised to see her gentle side come

"This is Helene, she came here looking for work. The head maid wasn't very nice to her, but I asked her to come inside... A little one like her can't stay outside alone" I said softly swaying her gently in my arms

"Is she a little?" Daniela's voice chirped from the other end of the hall as she approached us and looked at me with a smile "she is Indeed a little dani, why don't you get Bela and I can talk to all three of you together?" I asked taking a pause as an idea suddenly came to my mind

"While you three are at it, take care of the head maid" I said in a firm tone, making the little one nuzzle further into me and a very eager smile came on Cassandra's face

"Sure mother!" Both of them nodded happily and swarmed away, "they're not here anymore little one, can I see those pretty eyes" I cooed softly at her

She nodded and looked up at me with a curious glance, her eyebrows furrowed "whats yous nwame? She asked softly, her hand iching towards her mouth but I caught it before it could reach, causing her to pout

"I am Alcina Dimitrescu and this is my house, and you can't put your yucky fingers in your mouth sweet girl, if you want I can get you a paci? Does that sound good?" I asked in a soft tone smiling when she agreed

I walked with her towards the study, faintly I could hear the noises from the basement even with the doors closed, I can hear everything in my house

"Miss Mitrecu?" She asked tilting her head to the side, I've never been called that, the name itself made me smile and nod my head "close enough little bug"

I sat down on my chair, shifting the little one so she was sitting comfortably side ways on my lap, she fisted my dress and cuddled into my chest, I opened the very bottom drawer and took out a blue pacifier holding it in front of her

"Paci!" She squealed happily, taking the treat from me and sucking on it gently "so little one, I have a proposition for you" I said gently, making her eyebrows furrow again "popositin?" She asked, her voice even more muffled by the paci now

"I want to ask you something, is that okay?" She nodded, her innocent blue eyes looking towards me "I have always wanted a little one for myself, but I am a vampire and sadly I can't have kids anymore but I don't want kids I want someone who can stay my baby forever"

I rubbed her back slowly and continued "you can stay in my house and let me take care of you, I won't let anything happen to you or anyone hurt you. But it's your decision to make and even if you choose not to let me take care you, you are still more than welcome to stay in my house. Above all I want you safe" I said in a soft tone

I kissed her head gently and watched as she thought deep and hard about what I said, just when I felt like she was about to reply the door opened and all three of my daughters stood in front of us
