Tbh writing this made me sad so enjoy!

"For God's sake Howard" Dottie groaned looking down at her wrist watch "I'm ready!" he yelled coming out from their room while putting his suit jacket on "I'll get the car ready" he grinned kissing her cheeks making her roll her eyes as she made her way on their living room

Dottie smiled at the sight of Tony sleeping on the couch with a blanket covering his face and a Santa hat placed on his head. She sat down on the piano and started playing "Try to remember the kind of September. When grass was green"

She stops singing as Howard walked in but continued, "wake up, dear, and say goodbye to your father" she softly called after Howard took the blanket off from his face "who's the homeless person on the couch?" Howard asked making Dottie roll her eyes. Tony staggers to his feet with a chuckle "this is why I love going home for Christmas... right before you leave town"

"Be nice dear, he's been studying abroad" Dottie spoke knowing Howard's about to reply with his idiotic response "really, which broad? what's her name?" Howard asked "candice" Tony replied making his mother roll her eyes again not really happy on how Tony turned out to be like his father, a womanizer

"Do me a favor? Try not to burn the house down before Monday" Howard said making Tony raise his eyebrows "Okay, so it's Monday. That is good to know. I will plan my toga party accordingly. Where you going?" Tony asked looking at his mother "Your father's flying us to the Bahamas for a little getaway" Dottie explained looking back at Tony

"We might have to make a quick stop" Howard spoke making both of their head turn to him "At the Pentagon. Right? Don't worry, you're gonna love the holiday menu at the commissary" Tony added sarcastically with his hand placed on Dottie's shoulder making her smile as she stopped playing the piano "You know, they say sarcasm is a metric for potential. If that's true, you'll be a great man some day. I'll get the bags." Howard said leaving them

Dottie stands up looking at Tony "He does miss you when you are not here. And frankly, you're going to miss us." She said walking towards him "mom you'll only be gone for three days" Tony smiled making her chuckle "stop fooling yourself you miss me every hour I'm out" she joked making him laugh

"I'll miss you mom" he added making her smile before he hands her her bag "let's go" Howard spoke walking in with the bags on his hand while Tony glance at his father with a pissed off look on his face making her sigh "stop thinking about the fight last night" she mumbled after he crossed his arms to his chest. Dottie gave him a smile and kissed his cheek before walking out with Howard

"Honey?" Howard called making Dottie look at her "what's wrong?" Howard asked seeing a frown on her face "I just felt uneasy" she mumbled shaking her negative thoughts away "your being paranoid dear" he chuckled with his other hand intertwined with hers. She nods her head and gulped sensinsending that something is wrong or something bad is about to happen

"remeber when Tony pointed a gun at you" she chuckled remembering Howard's face "its it's your fault for keeping your gun on your drawer" Howard rolled his eyes laughing "its it's so weird how Howard Potts looks exactly like Tony" she mumbled making Howard look at her "who's that" he asked "you old man, the man that we met years ago that one with weird beard" she explained

"They do look a like" Howard mumbled in realization "that's so damn confusing" she said making him laugh "not really, there's a bunch of people out there that look exactly like you" he grinned "you people?" she asked "yeah cause no one out there looks handsome as I do so" he smirked earning a slap on his arm from her

The two enjoyed their ride with bunch of stories and laughs shared together not really wanting the night to end. "Did you bring our keys?" Howard asked. Dottie opened her bag to check "yup" she smiled before she could close her bag, she saw the letter from Bucky inside her bag. Her eyebrows raised in confusion knowing she never removes it from her drawers
