"Where's Tony?" Dottie asked after entering their house "oh he's already asleep, he have been playing all day so" Jarvis informed her "an hour you said" Howard spoke coming from behind Jarvis making Dottie's eyebrows raised with a smile "oh your home early" she smiled giving him a hug
Dottie pulled away after seeing him stood there only with his hands tucked on his pockets instead of hugging her back like he usually do "what's wrong?" she asked placing her bag down and shook her head seeing Jarvis hurriedly left the living room knowing something is wrong
"You told them you'll be back in an hour. You left around 5 and you only got back now, 8 at night" Howard spoke making her shake her head "Jack needed someone to talk to, I couldn't just leave him there" she responds making Howard shook his head "yeah what about Tony?" he asked "Ana and Jarvis is here and this is the first time that I've been gone for 3 hours Howard"
"You could have told him that Tony needs you he would understand that!" he yelled "what the hell is your problem? I asked you if you were okay with it and you said sure" she yelled back "yes because I thought you'd be back early for Tony!" "Howard stop bring Tony into this we both know that he's perfectly fine with Ana and Jarvis so now tell me the real reason why your being like this" she calmly stated
"Because I couldn't think straight all day knowing your with him!" he yelled looking staright at her "you could have told me not to go! I asked you because I didn't want to hide it from you!" she yelled coming towards him "that doesn't mean I'm fine with it!." Dottie chuckled "your god damn insane, you said it's okay to you and now your telling me that your not fine with it? what are you a bipolar shit?" she asked, Dottie shook her head seeing him quiet while looking down at the floor
"You doubt me" she mumbled making him look back up at her "what?" he asked "you said you trust me but your actions doesn't look like it you fucking liar" she mumbled with tears running down her cheeks "honey no, I just-" "save it, I don't wanna hear any of your stupid excuses anymore" she cuts him off before walking away from him
"Honey please" he pleads making her stop in her tracks and turn he headed back at him "we've been together for 14 years Howard. 14, and you still don't trust me the way that I do for reasons that I don't fucking know" she said wiping her tears away before leaving him making Howard clench his fist and slam it down on the sink
"This damn telephone" Dottie mumbled after getting woken up by the telephone on their room ringing. She sit up and reached for it "it's early in the morning, what do you want?" she asked with her eyes closed "damn I thought I'd hear a I miss you" a British woman spoke from the other line
Her eyes opened realizing who it is "Peg I'm sorry it's just early in the morning here" she apologized leaning back on the headboard "I don't hear snores, did Howard left early again?" she asked making Dottie's head turn to look at her side seeing it empty "I'm not sure, he slept in the sofa so" she responds
"Another fight?" Peggy asked making her sigh "third one from this week" she mumbled laying back down "I told you to call me, tell me everything" Peggy muttered. Dottie took deep breaths before telling Peggy everything that happened last night "hey I'm sure he's trust you he just failed to show it" Peggy advised
"I don't know Peg, we've been having arguments every damn minute its giving me so much headache" she mumbled wiping her tears away "give each other time mostly yourself, stop overthinking things it's not healthy. You've been with him for years I'm sure you'll both handle things great" Peggy smiled making her smile also
"Thanks Peg, I don't know what I'll do without you. Thank you so much" she mumbled "I miss you Dot, I wish I'm there to hug you right now" Peggy said wiping her own tears also "Peg we're both crying we know it" she smiled making her chuckle "what I couldn't help it, I miss you and I want nothing but to hug you right now" Peggy smiled "mom?" Tony called from outside "I gotta go Peg, take care" she exclaimed before hanging up
Dottie looked through their window with her arms crossed on her chest asking herself on why did she and Howard have been having so many fights in a week. They were never like that, but as the thought of how they barely spend times together mostly with Tony make her shook her head "Honey" Howard softly called seeing her stood by the window
Dottie sighs and kept her gaze outside not bothering to ask him why he is early "I'm really sorry" he mumbled walking towards her "I'm sorry that I made you feel like I don't trust you, I just couldn't help but worry" he spoke hugging her from behind. She took a deep breath before turning around to hug him back "it's okay, this past weeks is just so stressful" she mumbled with her head buried on his neck
"I know, I'm sorry" he smiled kissing the top of her head "I won't be working for a week so that we can spend time with Tony" he added making her look up at him with a smile "thank you" she pecked his lips making him smile widely "I'm really sorry" he apologized again making her roll her eyes "if I heard another apology from you, you'll sleep in the sofa again" she glared "dont you dare! it was really cold last night I had to take one of Tony's stuff toy to cuddle"
"Such a kid" she mumbled chuckling "those are for you" Howard points out the bouquet of flowers on the table making her smile widely "thank you so much" she pecked his cheeks "I deserve more than that" he smirked making her eyebrows raise "yeah I think so" she smirked back slipping away from his arms "where you going?" he asked "shower" she responds walking upstairs "and your joining me" she added winking at him
"Mr Stark, someone called-" Jarvis cuts himself off seeing Howard running towards Dottie to the stairs "uh what's happening?" he asked seeing the big grin on Howard's face "showering" Dottie smirked making Jarvis raise his eyebrows in confusion "fondue is the right word honey" Howard corrected her making Jarvis eyes widen in realization "on the shower!" Howard added while they both made their way to their room "dear god please do not inform me again" Jarvis mumbled to his self
"He is a great friend of mine and mommy" Howard spoke with Tony sat on his lap while they both look at the photo of Steve. Dottie smiled widely on the doorway watching the two making her heart melt in the beautiful sight of her son and husband
"Dinner is ready" she softly called making the two turn their head at her "let's go Pal" Howard smiled putting Tony down and running off downstairs making her laugh "what did you guys do" she asked "told him some stories of Steve, he also asked me about Barnes but I said it would be much better if it's you who tell him his stories because I barely know him" he smiled placing his arms around her shoulder
"Yeah he's been asking me to tell him but maybe when he can fully understand things" she smiled back as they both made their way downstairs "Tony's really happy to spend times with you" she mumbled "I am happier" he replied kissing her temple
