The Battle Begins

Sasuke's Pov
We're at the hospital. I'm with Shiori, she's sitting on a stool next to my bed. Shiori's parents and siblings just left us after their visit a few moments ago

"You're gonna be okay, you know, your injury could have been much more serious. My family were relieved too" Shiori says

I'm thinking about our last mission

'I don't deserve Shiori? What a joke'

I look at Shiori and see that she must be thinking about the last mission too because she also have a complicated look on her face

'Tsk. Sakura is the cause of that look on Shiori's face'

I furrow my brows in frustration and lie back down, remembering Itachi's and Jiraiya's words

'Naruto's the one he's after'

I grab one of Shiori's hands

"It never crossed my mind that we'd end up growing these ugly feelings towards our own teammates who we think of as friends" Shiori says almost quietly

"Yeah. You're right" I agree

"Here's your headband. Want me to put it on?" Shiori says as she holds my headband out to me

"I don't feel like putting it on. Hold on to it for me" I say

"Alright. I understand" Shiori nods and puts it in one of her dress pockets

We hear footsteps approaching. I sit up, Shiori and I turn our heads towards the door

"Yo Sakura, I'm here" we hear Naruto's voice approaching

Shiori and I glare at the door

"Sakura" Shiori says

"Naruto" I say

Sakura and Naruto comes in

"Look, I brought you some apples. You like them right? Here. Don't they look delicious?" Sakura says as she places the bag of apples down

Shiori tightens her hand holding mine, I tighten my hold back, reassuring her

Naruto and Sakura are having a silly conversation

"You're so lame. Getting all scattered brained just 'cuz you're around Sasuke, right Shiori?" Naruto laughs

Shiori's eyes twitches, but remains silent, like me

'Why can't Sakura just take a hint and leave me alone? I hate seeing Shiori like this'

"Why do you have to come in here and annoy me?" Sakura says

Shiori and I glare at them, specifically Shiori at Sakura and me at both Sakura and Naruto. I'm gritting my teeth

Shiori's Pov
Sakura punches Naruto to the floor and Sakura starts peeling an apple

'Who do you think you are?'

Sakura hands out a piece of the apple to Sasuke

"Here. Want to try one?" Sakura says happily

'That's it. That's the last straw'

Sasuke and I glare at her. Sasuke slaps her hand away

"Stop it" I say

"Who gave you the right to do that?" Sasuke says seriously

"Ah" Sakura looks at us in surprise

The plate and apples falls on Naruto
