Shiori's Pov
"THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I'M GONNA LOSE TO A GUY LIKE HIM!" Gaara yells
"Hm?" Naruto and his clones reacts
A huge amount of sand rises up from Gaara and poofs Naruto's clones
"Ah" Sasuke and I hold onto each other, keeping our balance and trying not to get blown away like Naruto. Naruto's back hits a tree
"*Gasp* What the? What is that?" Sasuke says
The smoke starts clearing up. We look up at it
"Is that...Gaara?" I say is surprise
I look at Naruto and notice something
"Uh Sasuke" I lightly pull on Sasuke sleeve
"Yeah?" Sasuke looks at me
"Look at Naruto" I point to Naruto
Sasuke gasps. Sand is circling all around Naruto's body
"Naruto!" Sasuke and I yell
Sasuke fall on his knees in pain
"Sasuke" I say worriedly as I bend down to hold onto him
"What's wrong?" I ask
"My...body" Sasuke says
I rub his back
I look back worriedly at Naruto, I gasp. Naruto's body is completely covered in sand
'Oh no, Naruto'
I'm about to make my way to help Naruto when A giant toad appears where Naruto was
Our eyes widens as we look up at it, Naruto on top of the toad's head
"A giant toad toad?!" I say as I ho pale
'The smaller one I van tolerate but that is just...'
"How on earth can he do that?" Sasuke says
"I-I guess you called it Sasuke. Maybe he really was training to learn how to summon a toad" I say jockingly, calming myself
"Hn. I was joking and you know it" Sasuke pouts
"*Giggle* I know, I know" I say
"Anyway, can you hear what they're saying up there?" Sasuke asks as we look back up
"Barely. What about you?" I ask
"A bit. Naruto's a loudmouth after all" Sasuke says
"I hear the toad saying Shukaku the Sand Spirit?" I say
"Is that what that is?" Sasuke points at Gaara in monstrous form
"Maybe" I say
Sasuke and I carefully listen in
"What do you say? Will you fight alongside me today, Chief Toad?"--Naruto
The toad, Chief Toad blows smoke out of the side of his mouth
"Take a hike" he says
"Wha?!"--Naruto
"Why go out of my way to mess with a guy like him. What am I? An idiot?"--Chief Toad
"Why, are you kidding me? You already told me you would make me your henchman didn't you?! It's only natural for a boss to wanna help out his henchman isn't it?! Don't you have any sense of duty?!"--Naruto
"Did he just say henchman?" I say
"What is going on up there?" Sasuke says
"Yeah sure, I told you I'd make you my henchman but we haven't even sealed the deal over a cup of sake yet"--Chief Toad
"Give me a break! I'm not even twenty-one years old yet! I can't have any alcohol!" Naruto exclaims
"What kind of silly conversation is this?" Sasuke says, his eyebrows furrowing
"Well you got to admit, it's a bit entertaining" I say
Toad-kun joins the conversation and it turns out that he and the giant toad are apparently father and son
Toad-kun aka Gamagichi points at Gaara
"By the way pops. That big ugly log was picking on me before" Toad-kun says
"Come again?"--Chief Toad
"Oh yeah and when he did, our friend here came to my rescue. He went head to head and toe to toe with that monster. I'm telling you pops he's a heck of a lot more to this kid than meets the eye" Toad-kun says
"...Is that right?"--Chief Toad
The giant toad holds the knife on his back
"Okay kid. You're here by accepted as my henchman. Sit tight" he says
Chief Toad holds the knife in front of him and jumps and lounges towards Gaara. He manages to slice off one of Gaara's monstrous arm. The arm falls on the ground and crumbles, causing the ground to shake
"Whoa" I try to keep my balance
"Shiori!" Sasuke grabs my hand and pulls me to him
"Thanks Sasuke" I say in relief
The giant knife falls somewhere near us, creating a strong wind to blow
"Ahh!" Sasuke and I hold on to each other tightly
"Interesting. INTERESTING! NOT BAD NARUTO UZUMAKI!" Gaara exclaims
Gaara starts emerging from the sand
"YAHAH! I'M FINALLY FREE! HERE I COME BABY!"
"I don't think that's Gaara anymore" I comment
"Yeah. Do you think it's the one they called Shukaku?" Sasuke asks
"Yeah. Probably" I answer
We look back at the sight above us
"HYAAH! HERE WE GO! I HOPE YOU'RE READY TO DIE! LET'S DO THIS!" Shukaku says as he points at Naruto and the toads
Shukaku rises his hand
"WIND STYLE! AIR BULLETS!" he pushes on his belly and a huge gust of wind leaves his mouth
Chief Toad jumps up
"Water Style! Liquid Bullets!" A ball of water leaves Chief Toad's mouth
The Wind Bullet and Liquid Bullet collides, causing it to rain on us
"This...is grossing me out" I comment as I shield my head with my hands as I continue to watch the battle
"If this keeps up, all the trees could all be wiped out" Sasuke says
Shukaku continues with their Air and Liquid Bullets. One of the Air Bullets hits Naruto and the toads
"Are they okay?" I ask no one in particular
"YEAAAAAH! I DID IT! I KILLED HIM! I KILLED HIM!" Shukaku celebrates
Chief Toad jumps up, emerging from the smoke
"Now that kinda hurt. That was an awful lot of Chakra that you blasted me with. I had to admit, hit me with a couple more of those, even I won't last much longer!"--Chief Toad
Chief Toad jumps in front of Shukaku and grabs him by the shoulders
"Now's your chance!" Chief Toad tells Naruto I believe
They jump away from Shukaku
A few moments pass. Chief Toad jumps towards Shukaku again, at one point a claw reaches out
Our eyes widens
"*Gasp* Isn't that..." I gasp
"That's the..."--Sasuke
