Chapter 33- Getting Jobs

"Wait so your tutoring this boy?" Kelly shouts from the other room
"Yeah! At math!" Harper shouts back
"Didn't you say you were crap at math?" Kelly says standing at the door
"Excuse you! I'll have you know that I got the highest grade in my math test!" Harper says confidently
"When was that 2nd grade?" Kelly says laughing
"It was 5th!" Harper says hitting his shoulder
Harper then makes her way to the little boys house. When she drives up she can see a giant house with tons of fancy cars outside it
"Holy crap!" Harper whispers to herself
She walks up and knocks on the door. A woman answers
"Hello! I'm Harper Severide! Your sons tutor!" Harper says with a warm smile on her face
"Ahh yes! I'm Anna! And this is my husband Mark!" Anna says stepping aside to let her husband stand next to her
"It's great to meet you both!" Harper says
"Come in!" Anna says
"Riley!" Mark shouts as Riley appears
"This is your new tutor Mrs.Severide!" Anna says
"Oh please call me Harper!" Harper says enthusiastically
"Great! Well we're going to pop out for a sec so you guys can get started!" Anna says before she walks away
Riley shows Harper to his room and they sit down at his desk
"Okay so! What's the next math test on?" Harper asks
"Algebra!" Riley says
"Oh great!" Harper says
They spend the rest of the day doing math and Riley starts to get the hang of it
"Another correct answer! Your doing great!" Harper says
"Thank you Harper!" Riley says smiling
"So when's your next test?" Harper asks cleaning you her things
"Tomorrow!" Riley says looking slightly panicked
"Your gonna do great! I can feel it!" Harper says
It's the next day and Harper is back at Riley's. When she walks in she discovers Riley in tears next to his mum
"He failed! You were meant to help him!" Anna says angrily
"He was doing so well!" Harper says shocked
"I was paying you good money! And yet you failed him! Get out now!" Anna says
"We can talk about this!" Harper says
"I said get out!" Anna shouts
Harper makes her way back home and tells Kelly. He comforts her. It's time for shift and Harper has just gotten changed until
"Truck 81, squad 3, engine 51, ambulance 61, house fire, 78th street" The intercom says
"That's Riley's house!" Harper says as she gets her gear on
They arrive on scene to find the house up in flames
"Okay truck and squad do a secondary search! Engine get ready with those hose lines!" Boden shouts
"Copy that! Mask up 81!" Harper shouts as she puts her mask on
They run in and Harper finds Riley on the floor unconscious. She puts him over her shoulder and runs out. Everyone is outside and Harper gives Riley to the medics. She sees Anna and Mark arrive
"What's going on?" Anna asks concerned
"You house must have caught fire but Captain Harper Bailey here saved your son!" Boden says
"Wait Harper! She done this!" Mark says getting closer to Harper
"Hey back off buddy!" Kelly says
"I'll make sure you go down for this!" Mark shouts
They arrive back at the firehouse and Harper sits in the common room along with Kelly and Casey.
*on the apparatus floor*
Herrmann can see cops pull up
"Harper get out here!" Herrmann shouts
"Hey there! We're looking for a Harper Bailey?" The officer asks
"I'm right here!" Harper says walking in with Kelly and Matt
"Harper Bailey were arresting you for suspicion of attempted murder and arson!" The officer says putting handcuffs on Harper
"You don't need to say anything but if you do it will be used against you in court!" The officer says taking her to the car
