The two's breakfast was like their walk to the kitchen, it was quiet but comfortable with no awkwardness.

The phone in his pocket buzzed, he took it out and saw a message reminding him to head back to work. Due to the fact that he wanted to spend more time with Amara, he neglected his duties as an alpha and threw it all towards Felix and Jackson.

Unfortunately, this was no longer possible. They had been continually pestering him to come back and deal with his own work as they had enough to deal with themselves.

Austin felt uneasy leaving Amara's side but he also knew he couldn't continue neglecting his responsibilities especially when another pack, the Dawns, were paying them a visit.

This was scheduled weeks before and so he couldn't get out of it. Their alpha, his son, and beta were all coming to discuss an alliance between them had to welcome them personally.

The Dawns pack were listed as one of the strongest packs on the continent, although not as strong as them, they were strong enough to pose as a threat if war ever comes about. They were better to be allies than enemies, even with this fact Austin still couldn't help but feel uneasy leaving Amara's side.

Torn between this dilemma he finally decided to call Jessie and ask her if she could stay with Amara while he was gone to which she happily agreed.

He didn't want to ask other people to watch Amara because he didn't want to treat her like a child but he felt apprehensive at just leaving her alone at home.

He looked at the time. It was already 8:30 which meant that he had to leave soon.

"I have to leave for a little while but Jessie will be here to stay with you, ok?"

Amara blinked before nodding her head obediently.

30 minutes later he heard a knock at the door.

Knowing that it was Jessie Austin stood up and gathered his things before walking towards the door with Amara following closely behind.

"Thank you for agreeing to stay with Amara while I'm out."

"No problem and it's my pleasure" she said optimistically with a big smile on her face

Inwardly, Jessie felt nervous being alone with Amara. Whenever she recalled what happened a couple days ago she would always find her self banging her head on a wall. She felt so embarrassed being caught like that and feeling guilty? Like, what did she have to feel guilty for?

Despite that she still remembered the feeling of being so close that she could feel her breath on her skin.

Her cheeks reddened and because her skin was very fair it wasn't hard for Austin to notice

"Are you ok? Your cheeks are red"

Jessie inwardly gasped, she stupidly forgot that someone was standing right in front of her. She took a deep breath and repeatedly told herself to calm down

"Y-yeah, it's just a bit hot today" she said as she fanned her self with her hand.

Little did she know that what she was feeling was the result of the charm and aura of a siren, so it was completely normal for her to feel this way, rather it would be weird if she didn't.

They talked a little bit more before Austin needed to leave, he gently caressed Amara's cheek and said a soft goodbye before disappearing from the driveway.

Amara did not stray her eyes away from him until he could no longer be seen. Oddly she felt a tiny prick in her heart before it vanished as if it had never been there. The feeling was so quick to disappear that she ignored it.

"H-hi" she nervously said

She tried her best to avoid making eye contact with her so she looked straight ahead. Because Amara was taller than her, her eyes landed just above her chest. Her eyes travelled downwards and saw what she was wearing, the clothes she had on were a bit baggy, so it hid her overall figure.

But this was to be expected since the clothes belonged to Austin and their sizes were clearly different.

It however did not affect her overall beauty it instead gave her the lazy but stylish kind of vibe, Jessie couldn't help but compare her to a Persian cat.

Once again Jessie was in awe and couldn't help but stare at her a bit longer before snapping out of it.

'Urgh I swear she's turning me into a lesbian' she inwardly groaned as she placed her hand on her face.

This was happening every single time she looks at her. She shook her head and tried to steer herself away from that mindset, she grabbed Amara's hand and quickly walked inside while pulling her towards the stairs and in the direction of Austin room.

She sat her down on the bed and rummaged through the closet to try and find at least one piece of clothing that would fit her, and to her disappointment found none.

She thought deeply of what kind of style would suit her best, but if she thought about it then she would probably look good in anything she wears, even if it was a trash bag. She was sure she would find a way to make it look trendy.

While Jessie was deep in thought Amara looked at her with deep curiosity. From the moment she met this person, it did not take long for her guard to ease up, she even felt the need to protect her.

The feeling was similar to the ones she shared with her brother and sister, so even if she would sometimes invade her personal pace she let it slide.

"Alright, it seems like we definitely need to go shopping"

Amara felt a foreboding feeling in the pit of her stomach and was slightly reluctant to leave the house but not even a moment later she was being dragged into a car where they drove to the nearest mall, making Amara swallow back any words of unwillingness.
