Chapter Sixteen (unedited)

Guys just to let you know, I will not be able to edit the chapters for a while because I'm using my phone and it gets really slow when I write too much. So please bare with the grammatical errors, spellings, and other things

Anyway you may proceed

"Checkers! Let's me just say you look absolutely-"

"What the hell is happening?!"

I stalk towards them with a menacing glare gazed on Chris who seemed unbothered by the unwanted audiences. But then again, Chris is never bothered by anything but the fact that he came here saying he'd come by his own only to arrive intoxicated was surprisingly not what I had expected

Chris was a hard drinker, that I notice during his high school days and seeing him now, unable to stand properly gave me the idea that he drank way too much for his limitations

Damien grunts when Chris would fall of his shoulders from time to time and Andy who had his other Shoulder looked annoyed at some point when Chris would flail with his flask on hand- there were moments where Andy got hit twice by now

"Dude you reek!"

"What is going on here?!"

Father and Pearl came barreling through the glass door with confused expression only to stop short when he found everyone staring at us or particularly on Chris. His brows furrows at the scene and Chris in turn only grins

Mr. Caverly! Hey men"

Oh man

Without looking at Chris, I turned towards dad with a sigh "could we use one of your spare rooms?"

Daddy didn't bother replying, instead he nodded his head while he held his fiancée around his arms in protection. Chris loves alcohol, they say but I was surprised he loved it this much to come to a party so drunk off his head

Yeah sure, Chris had been once drunk during the day on the beach but he looked stable enough to walk so I left him- which I may have realize made me the worst person ever

I began to lead the guys inside but stopped first when we reached my father and Pearl. Chris seemed so carefree that he gave my father a barely there sober smile and hit his shoulders twice in a friendly matter

"I give you my Condolence sir"

Awkwardly, we stared wide eyes at my dad who stood agape

So I decided to leave faster- leaving Pearl and Daddy in a shock state

"This is an engagement party you idiot!" I hissed. Chris in the other hand stopped before thinking hard or what looked more like froze mid way from walking

"This isn't a funeral?" He asked confused. Maybe that was why he was dressed in black. I rolled my eyes knowing it was useless arguing with a drunk man so we decided to move forward

The three of us walked inside, happy enough that Giselle wasn't with us while both boys took one of Chris's arm to support him through walking up on the flight of stairs. During my adventure finding the restroom, I knew which room was unoccupied and spare so I turned towards that door and let them in

"Sally, it's nice for you to help but you shoul-"

"Stay" I interrupted when Chris's body flunk towards the bed like a dead man. He gave out a long and soft moan like a whale and the three of us couldn't help but stare at the hopeless man in front of us
