Chapter Sixteen  (unedited)

"What?"

"Okay Chris I can Explain" I panickly tried to grasp his button up shirt but he would only shrug it off in fury. His eyes catching mine as if he was trying to find an expression see if this was true. The way they would flicker down towards my covered belly then to my face was priceless even when he'd constantly glance at my stomach like he was in a trance. It seemed the alcohol had left his body yet it didn't answer the way he would tumble only to cover it up by switching his foot to hold him

My heart squeezed in fright knowing the cat was out. The secret and the way Chris looked so pale he seemed like he was about to faint yet at the same time, burn a building with his raging awareness

It shouldn't have been like this!

" what happened?" Damien stood in front of the door, clueless with his hands preoccupied with a glass and a plate filled with desserts- and let me tell you, I wasn't seeing any Advil in his hands or anywhere

Giselle was about to open her mouth but I quickly glared at her, making her stop in an instant knowing I will not hesitate to tear her limb by limb

When no one spoke, Chris decided it was time to leave, but I wasn't having it. He shoved Damien to the side who unfortunate cried out when his plate fell off his grip, his desserts now in a mixture of dirt along with shards of the broken plate

I tried to run for him but stop short knowing I'd be leaving three of the guys and Damien not knowing this seemed like the best choice right now. And Damien had to know- it should have been told by me. Looking back at the couple, I gave them one demonic snarl

"If you open your mouth, I swear to god I will Slice up your gentiles in whatever I can do" looking at Giselle I hiss "that includes you- you bítch"

I didn't bother to hear a reply before I jump down on a flight of stairs- visitors jolting up in surprised at the sound when my foot hit the wooden floor but I didn't care, I dash towards Chris's fleeting body before calling him out. Unfortunately Chris didn't hear me- or rather didn't want to listen to me

I wouldn't even want to too

But It wasn't the time for self-pity, in fact guilt was eating me alive and all I wanted to do is try to clear things up with Chris even if it takes a pregnant lady to run off on the streets to get to Chris's car

I was surprised with his agility and those long legs of his that could carry him on the other side of the room in a second. He was fast which was something I curse for at this very moment

"Chris stop!"

He didn't, instead he hastily fasten his pace and the fear of not being able to get to him was eating me. I didn't want him to leave without my explanation. I just had to get his attention without realizing it, I started running but that wasn't good enough because his speed brought him to his car less then a second

As desperate as a woman could be, she could stop a man with her determination and trust me I did the moment I hop into my left foot to take my sandals off and without thinking, I used my lack of skilled hands to throw them at his head- just to slow him down or try to turn my way

Only it didn't hit the target I was aiming for

But it did hit The mirror of his car with a sickening crack. The glass tumbled like crystals on the floor while the sun shimmered it's Way like those shiny dancing bulbs

This indeed got Chris's attention

"What the actual Fúck!" He whirls around towards me while his nose flares red when he sees me, my left foot bare as I tried to awkwardly stand straight without my heels unbalancing my height. I didn't care
