"SO I SAID TO JO- LUX?! LUX ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING?" No. No, she wasn't. But of course Sadie didn't have to know that.
When she had agreed to help Sadie revise for her upcoming English test, Lux hadn't realized that most of the study session would consist of Sadie paying little to no attention.
"Of course." Lux informed the hyperactive redhead automatically, her gaze not shifting from the old library's outdated, dusty chalkboard.
Unconvinced, Sadie decided against interrogating her best friend, and instead focused on something else.
Clearly, something was bothering her blonde bombshell of a best friend, and Sadie was determined to find out what it was.
What sort of best friend would she be if she didn't share the burden of her friends problems?
"Lux- are you okay?" The strawberry blonde asked carefully, her wide, hazel eyes scrutinizing the tall blonde.
Lux appeared dreadfully pale, her usual tanned complexion faded, and in its place a sickly alabaster shade.
Dark, distinctive bags had resided underneath Lux's eyes, while her usually pristine, blonde locks were a tangled mess.
Nodding, Lux stretched out her arm, gingerly kneading the bottom of her back in a significant amount of discomfort. "Yeah, just a little under the weather is all." Lux admitted, shrugging, wanting to avoid any conversations that would involve talking about her feelings.
