Chapter 25 ♚ CROWS

"Ana? Is that really you?" He said.

Naturally as a woman, when a complete stranger hugs you all of a sudden, my instinct is to push him away but I didn't. I don't know why but there's a voice saying inside my head that this guy means no harm.

"Who is Ana?" I asked. Confusion is evident on my face.

Marshall retracted himself away from me. He looks at me straight in the eyes letting me have a better view of his irides. I can say it's one of the oddest colors I've ever seen aside from Axel's black orbs. It's golden amber in color, like a wolf. It's alluring and warm but the way he bore his eyes into me, I can see hurt and sadness altogether.

Why is he looking at me like that?

"You can't-" He started. It was only for a second, but I saw hurt in his eyes before he completely masks it with anger. He shifts his gaze on Axel with fury. "What's going on?"

Axel remained silent and didn't give him a response. Marshall turns and takes a step towards Axel. When he's finally in front of him, he suddenly grabs Axel's collar and shouted, "She shouldn't be here!"

His sudden outburst surprised me. Axel, on the other hand, remained silent. He then grabs Marshall's hand and pushes him off. "I know what I'm doing," He says before dismissing him. He turns towards Benny, who's now standing beside me, and said, "Benny,"

"Po?" Benny answered.

"Contact Berto," Axel ordered. Benny nodded his head before fishing the phone out of his pocket and walks away.

Axel is about to walk away when Marshall suddenly grabs his shoulder, the part where he got shot. I winced at the sight. It must've been painful, but Axel didn't even show any emotion other than indifference. "We're not yet done talking," He said firmly.

"I know," Axel replied calmly before removing Marshall's hand from his shoulder.

"No, You don't!" Marshall says and brushes his hands on his hair out of frustration.

"Can you guys please tell me what's going on!?" I screamed. Interrupting their conversation is rude, but I want to know what they are talking about especially that it concerns me. I'm not that gullible to not notice it.

Again, I caught their attention. Both Marshall and Axel's eyes are on me.

"It's none of your business," Axel told me coldly.

If I was any other person, I'll get intimidated by his reply, but I am Tasha, a stubborn princess who ran away from home. I'm somewhat immune to cold treatments. I'm not saying I'm proud of it, but it's quite handy.
