'Today was the day!' Rebekah thought as she rushed to the dining room. "TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!" She yelled with excitement. Rebekah couldn't wait to see her friends again and make new ones too. She thought about her new teachers and who she would meet. She was fast and clumsy as she dressed and almost fell down the stairs.

As soon as she was ready, she kissed her mom goodbye and went to her dad's car to go to school. She was so happy, but as she noticed the road, she realized they were going somewhere different. "Um, Dad, you're going the wrong way." She kindly pointed out. "What do you mean?" He asked. "My school is that way," she said. "But your new school is this way." He replied.

Rebekah froze, 'What did he just say?' It couldn't be real...her "new" school, why now, why- how is this real? Finally, Rebekah said," Dad...what do you MEAN "new" school?" Her dad looked taken aback by what she said and replied "What do you mean? You wanted a "new" school, right?" Rebekah seemed upset and frustrated," NO! I DIDN'T!! BRING ME TO MY OLD SCHOOL!! PLEASE!!" But it was too late, she  arrived, and it felt horrible, all of her excitement had sucked out, and she was at the entrance.

Usually, Rebekah knew everything about her school, where her classes were, where the gym and cafeteria were, everything. She wanted to be the one to see the place with her whole heart, but now, it was different. Everything seemed so new, she knew she wanted to have new friends and meet new teachers, but not like this. As she entered the school, silence, in her mind, silence.

She walked to her classroom, it was on a paper her father had given to her when she got off. Then she walked in, and everyone in the class looked STARED at her as if she was a new human being born into the world right before them. But instead of laughter and glares, she was met with kind and polite students as they gathered around to say hello. They were so excited to meet Rebekah that the only names she could remember were Mary, Eli, & Kiki! Maybe her new school wouldn't be so bad after all!

That was until she felt a shove against her back and fell to her knees. 'Well...that's a way I didn't expect.' She expected everyone to laugh but instead, they gasped!"Gasp? That's ALL you can do!?" Rebekah heard someone groan, "UGHhhhhhh...LILA!! FOR THE LAST TIME YOU ARE NOT CLASS PRESIDENT ANYMORE!!" "YEAH LILA! Sorry about that...I'm Mary! Remember?" "Yeah..." That was all she could choke out after being pushed down. "Yeah! My sister...isn't the best role model for newbies. Anyways I'm Eli!" They both seemed ecstatic to meet her. Then she heard a yell." HI!! My name is Kiki! What's yours?" "Rebekah..." was all she could say.  (Well not really.) 'Maybe...just maybe, it won't be so bad after all.' Just...maybe.
