I wake up the next morning to a certain dog licking my face off. "Athena, stop, stop!"
I finally get her off my face when I realize I'm next to Walker.
Wait. Walker? I thought he was supposed to leave toda- oh shit.
"Walker, come on. You have to wake up!" I shake him awake and he mumbles until he is fully awake.
"Y/n, what's wrong?" he questions concernedly.
"Aren't you leaving to go back to Canada soon?" He immediately stands up and starts scrambling for his things.
"We were supposed to leave..." "Walker." "They're probably already gone..." "Walker!" "What time is it?" "WALKER!" "WHAT?!"
His eyes seem to realize immediately what was happening and that I wanted him to explain what was happening.
"Y/n, I can call you on the road. Now tell me, what time is it?"
I check the time on my phone. "7:12 AM."
"Oh thank goodness. Our flight leaves at noon, so I have to get home now to pack." Once he had his shoes on, he walks back over to me and gives me a kiss. "I promise, I'll call you!"
Once again, I am alone in my sorrow. Well, I suppose it's joy now.
