Chapter 1: Transferees

Elaina's POV:

Well, well, well...
Me and my twin brother Erick arrived at my tita's big house. She said she wanted to adopt us because she always wanted children but didn't want a husband. Wait, what? Baliw ba siya? Paano ka magkakaanak kung wala kang asawa? Hays... Sometimes hindi ko din talaga maintindihan ang pinagsasabi ni tita kung bumibisita siya sa bahay.

At eto naman ang kapatid ko parang wala naman sa kanya ang lahat ng to. Hindi nga umiyak nang namatay si mama. Napakawalang puso talaga to.
Sometimes I think talaga kung kapatid ko pa ba to. Parang hindi eh. Magkaibang magkaiba talaga kami ng personality.

"Aren't you going to come in?" he asked in a bored tone. Hala! Andito na naman tayo... Please lang magsalita ka sa akin ng normal nagmamakaawa ako kung hindi ma sasapak talaga kita Erick.
"Of course I'm coming in! Who said I wasn't?!" I said louder so he will know that I am annoyed at his behavior. No respect! I'm older than him for 10 minutes. Tsk.

He was shocked when I raised my voice at him. I glanced at him one more time and continue going to the hallway of the house. Ang aga aga pa pinapainit na agad ang ulo ko.

"Hello kids! Welcome to my house. Feel free to ask anything. I will give anything you want!" our tita Sophie greeted us. Well she looked like our mom but her younger version. Tita Sophie is three years younger than mom. She is 35 years old and really quite young that's why she is so cheerful.

"Anything?" I repeated.

"Yes. Anything Elaina. For you and your brother," she said.

"Okay... Do we have separate rooms?"

"Of course! Your room color is pastel pink. Your favorite with mood boards and motivational quotes. And I also put a study table, a study lamp, a bookshelf with lots of books needed for school and a lot of stuffs. Just see it yourself," she said. Oh my god! Is she for real? Totoo ba to?! Ang dami naman para sa isang kuwarto. Ang yaman talaga ni tita.

"And for you Erick. You had all the gadgets in your room that you really want and need. New books like Elaina and study table and lamp too. And to remind the two of you. Your study table had a remote to control the height of it."

What the fuck. Is she for real? Ganito ba ka high tech ang bahay niya? At lahat ay sobrang mamahalin!

Pagkatapos niya kami i tour sa bahay niya ay pumasok nako sa aking kuwarto at nagulat ako sa sobrang laki nito. MY GHAD! Parang spoiled brat naman kami nito. Hindi ako sanay.

Pagkatapos kong ayusin lahat ng gamit ko sa room ko at ma organize lahat, ay pinatawag na ako ni tita para kumain ng lunch. Hay... Ano naman kaya ito? Fiesta? Alam ko kasi kapag magpapadala si tita ng pagkain sa bahay namin dati nang nandiyan pa si mama ay parang may fiesta o birthday. Napakarami!

And I was right. So many foods in the dining room. And it's only the three of us going to eat. Pero naubos naman namin ang iba. Mga kalahati siguro. Matakaw din kasi itong kapatid ko eh.

"Elaina," ay punyeta! Bakit ba to nang gugulat? Bigla bigla na lang nagsasalita.

" Do you want to play with me?" he asked and I burst out laughing but I stopped when he's face turned serious.
"Ano ka bata?" Tanong ko pabalik.
"I mean do you want to play videogames with me," he repeated at nakaramdam naman ako ng hiya dahil sa reaksiyon ko. " Bakit kasi hindi mo kinukumpleto? Ha? Pa suspense suspense ka pa," I said at natigilan din si tita Sophie dahil parang nag aaway na kaming dalawa eh.

"Uhh... Kids? Later lang muna yan. May important akong sasabihin sa inyo.

At natigilan naman kaming dalawa.
