Ned is a lone wolf.

After the greeting, mom came in to inform us that dinner was ready. We all made our way to the dining room.

I sat down so I could talk to Alex while looking at him. When I had found my place all the others started to find theirs.

Vulcan sat down on my left side, while aunt Catherine sat on my right side.

The dinner went on with chatter and laughing. Everyone complementing my mothers cooking skills. She rocks at making food.

I had tried getting Alex's attention for a while, but it seemed like he was to caught up in a conversation with Vulcan to notice my very subtle attempts.

I had tried to engage my self in a few conversations that seemed interesting, but they would always change the topic to something they thought I was interested in, making me loose interest.

It was probably all good intentions, but I would rather have a semi heated discussion with my aunt Nelly about the climate, then talk to her about why I don't like my math teacher.

Or get to know why my uncle Ned travels the world, or what on earth Orion and Vulcan has been up to for the past decade.

Instead I'm stuck being the one who ruins these conversations by them asking me stuff no one really cares about.

So instead I ate my food while eavesdropping on everyone's conversations, pretending I don't listen to them.

I actually have some pretty cool aunts and uncles. They have done so much with their life.

I can't wait to move to England to get my own cool experiences.

"Nova, I'm getting tired of it. Stop kicking my feet." Hunter said in frustrating tone.

My head snapped up at him.

"I'm not kicking your feet." I told him. It was true, my feet was doing what they had been doing for the past twenty minutes, stroking Alex's feet under the table.

To prove me wrong, Hunter bent down a little in his sitting position. I felt a hand grab my right foot and it being lifted up. Shit.

"Then who's foot is this?" He asked with a smirk. lightly tickling my foot. "You've been doing it for the entire time we been eating. Stop it." I gave him a meekly nod, a tint of blush coating my entire face.

Alex sat on Hunters left side with an amused look on his face. I gave him a glare, that only made him laugh more.

Throughout the whole meal I had thought I was foot flirting with him, when I in reality had been doing it to my brother.

I shuddered at the thought.

Hunter mumbled a low "Thank you." Before going back to his conversation with uncle Wyatt.

"Alex, have you heard anything from any schools?" Dad grabbed Alex's attention.

I think he managed to get everyone else's too because the table went silent.

Education have always been important to my family, and everyone think it's interesting to hear all about what you are doing after high school.

When you are in high school it isn't as interesting. I have ten older cousins plus my brothers who went to the exact same school I go to, so they have kinda heard it all before.

I know Alex is smart. He has a lot of Ivy-leagues collages on his list.

"Yes, I have." Alex smiled back with a proud look on his face.
