Gina almost melted as she sat in the seat beside the window. She was first to class and this was her first class she hadn't taken forever to get to.
"Hey honey." The teacher approached and Gina moved her glasses up on her nose. "May you please sit one paper on each desk?"
"Of course." Gina nodded taking the papers and distributing them to each desk.
"Hey Mrs. E!" A loud happy voice boomed.
"Hello Mr. Christopher." The teacher responded. Gina turned towards the front of the class where the tall boy stood next to their petite teacher. He wore a black graphic tee and basketball shorts with a bright smile on his face.
"These are extra." Gina said holding up the last couple of papers.
"Hand them here sweetheart." Mrs. E nodded, "thank you so much."
"No problem." Gina nodded before sitting back at her desk. She closed her eyes as the sun beamed onto her skin and the class slowly filled up.
"Are you new?" A voice asked and Gina opened her eyes to the same boy that walked in a second ago. "Sorry, everyone looks familiar in here but I don't think we've met. I'm Joshua Christopher..."
