I had no idea how long I sat there thinking of various ways to kill that wh*re when the door opened and this time Conner entered.

"What's going on, Conner?" I growled.

"I should've known." He scoffed, looking at me with his eyes full of hurt. "You were only using me to get information."

My eyes shut and I swallowed my bitterness, feeling guilty. I knew he would find it someday and will get mad at me for this.

"I broke your heart and for that, you're accusing me of something I didn't do-"

"You were at the club the night the accident happened." I opened my mouth, but he continued. "You went there again and lied about being on a date. The assistant at the Knight Corporation told us that a redhead came asking for Reed's information and when we looked into the cameras, it was you. You also went to Candice's apartment and never told the police about her-"

"Just because of those you think I tried to kill him-"

"You were also at his apartment and wrecked it." My eyes widened at that.

"I did no such thing!"

How do they know I was there? I wore gloves and left no fingers prints!

"We found this..." He took a plastic bag out of his coat and showed it to me. "In this wardrobe."

My heart dropped in my stomach when I saw my hair strand in the bag. I remembered my hair got stuck in the wood when I was hiding in it from the hoodie guy.

F**k I'm in deep trouble now!

"Cat caught your tongue?" Conner narrowed his eyes at me.

"I didn't crash his house." I gritted through my teeth.

"You're not denying these."

"Just because they're red, you think they're mine?" I crossed the question to him.

"If they are not yours." Oliver stepped inside the room with a smug grin on his face. "You won't mind a test right, Miss Katz."

I glared at him and was saved from saying anything as I heard my uncle's voice booming.

"Where is my niece?!"

Both Oliver and Conner walked out of the room, leaving me behind. I was restless and looked in the mirror to know what was going on, but only saw myself.

"Wait," Finlay mumbled and walked to the mirror.

I watched as he pressed his head through the mirror. It was weird watching his headless body, but I had other things to worry about.

"Your uncle brought some people with him and Conner is trying to calm him down," Finlay said, then turned his head back there again.

"What is going on?" I mumbled, tapping my fingers on the table.

"He said they don't have firm evidence and can't charge you, but Oliver is hell-bent on the test."

Sh*t!

They can't charge me for other things, but if they got the test, then I'm dead.

The door slammed open, and my uncle with a red face barged in, making me yelp.

"Amber, let them do the DNA test and we're out of this place."

I gulped and fisted my hands, knowing I couldn't get out of this easily. A guy in a lab coat came inside with Oliver and Conner.

"Do the test and about the accusations of that blonde girl." Uncle fumed at Oliver. "We'll deal with that on the trail."
