Oh my wow, I'm so sorry.

Also, sorry. I watched the Titanic.

Evelyn could tell he was uncomfortable just by glancing at him.

The usual men on the expedition were normal with him, small conversations and very understanding of his slight language barrier, however the other staff were not. Right now, the maid, Melissa, was talking to Angus at a much quicker, over excited pace. She was explaining her life ambitions from dropping out of university, but Angus was having a hard time keeping up with her fast pace.

He was sat on the other end of the small dining area of the boat, opposite ends to Evy. Evelyn was wrapped up in conversation with the lady captioning the boat and couldn't find a polite way to dismiss the conversation to talk to Angus. She noticed the way he couldn't even hold attention to her and whenever she glanced over at him, she was always met with his brown eyes already looking playfully at her. If she was lucky, he would pull a face at her causing her to blush, her cheeks heating up as she tried to contain her laugh.

"Anyways dear, you enjoy your stay tonight." The lady finally said after fifteen minutes of talking. "I have a boat to guide and you have some research to look over." With a quick goodbye, Evelyn raced over to Angus. As soon as she was near, Angus stood up, wiping off Melissa completely and walked to Evelyn with not even a glance back at the confused girl.

"Angus," Evelyn scolded him. "You don't just leave people like that." She had already noticed from the small time he had been around people, his actions had appeared on the rude side but she couldn't blame him, they are understandable.

"But Gus, I was not understanding her." He said, his eyebrows furrowed as he tried to see what was wrong leaving something that was uninteresting to him. He had only sat there and listened to this Melissa talk about god knows what while as he waited for Evelyn to finish her conversation with the lady.

"That's fine Gus, but in the future don't walk away from people. It can be rude." Evelyn hated telling him society's morals like this. He was kind and courteous, just not in the way society wants him to be. He held doors open for her, he smiled (even though it was sometimes forced) to those who waved or greeted him, he paid attention most of the time and he always made everyone smile, however from his lack of concentration sometimes he appeared rude and somewhat cocky.

"Sorry," Evelyn peered around Angus tall frame to Melissa. "He didn't mean anything personal about it." Evelyn couldn't help but apologize to the girl who looked slightly red and awkward, wondering why Angus had just abruptly walked away from her. Melissa knew of the basic story of him being shipwrecked and this was his first time in civilization from what they knew and how he and Evelyn adored each other and she couldn't help but swoon over the two. She was completely understanding however she now felt uncomfortable, like she was intruding.

"No, no don't worry about it. It's not an exciting story anyways." She laughed. "I've got to get back to cleaning anyways. Have a nice night." Evelyn smiled at her and Gus stared blankly at her, only smiling in goodbye when Evelyn nudged him on his hip.

"Come on." Evelyn said, grabbing his large hand with both of hers and dragging his body out to the outside of the ship. "I want to try something."

With a push, the heavy door swung open and instantly, the pair was hit in the face by the cold sea breeze. The salt littering the air instantly filled Evelyn's nose and a grin crept over her face. With only one hand, she pulled a willing yet cautious Angus behind her and she ran bow of the ship. The wind harshly slapped their faces and while Evelyn was loving the feeling of living on the edge in a perfectly safe condition, Angus was weary of the still forging contraption he stood upon to return to Evelyn's home.
