I WAS SAT ON THE COUCH, my head in my hands when I heard the doorbell ring.

I heard Carlisle walking downstairs to pen the door.

"Hello, mark, Jess." Carlisle greeted with a small smile

"Where's Delilah?" They asked in unison

Carlisle motions for them to come inside and he takes them to me, I'm sat on the couch.

"Delilah?" Dad asked

"Hi, dad. Hi, mom." I held my breath trying to control the thirst

They were silent and so was I. They sat next to me on couch

"Sweetie, what's going on? Talk to us. We haven't seen you in months, why?" Mom raised her voice

"Mom, I have my own life now, okay." I stated to her

"But that doesn't mean to shut us out of it, Delilah. We are your parents we deserve to be apart of your life." Dad told me

My mom looked down in shame and she looked back at you

But then she spotted it

The precious thing on your right hand

"What is that?" Mom asked me

"What is what?" I asked her

"This!" She grabbed your right hand holding it up to your face. She was talking about engagement ring

"It's my engagement ring." I muttered

"Your engage-I'm sorry what!?" Dad asked

"You're married?!" Mom asked me

"Not yet!" I shouted back and stood up snatching my hand back from my mom grasp

"When were you gonna tell us that you were engaged, Delilah! When you walk down the aisle?" Mom shouted

"No, of course not."

"Then when? Do you not remember the conversation we had a couple weeks ago, Delilah. I told you not to get married so young, you're only eighteen! Don't throw your life away for some boy!" Dad told me

"Dad! He's not some boy, he is the love of my life and the man that I will marry. The man I will be with for the rest of my life, when you both are long and gone. So please respect my decisions and please respect my fiancé!" I shouted

They were silent and looked at each other

"Fine. Then please expect us to not be at your wedding when you marry him!" My mom shouted

My face was blank

I looked at my dad. If I could cry this would be the moment.

"Fine, don't be there. Get out!" I shouted
