A whole week has already passed since her last text, and I can't believe it. Time sure flies when you're busy like I was this past week, but now I'm free again. I don't know exactly why she's upset with me, or just over some mere misunderstanding.
But one thing I'm feeling guilty about is that I couldn't even spare a thought for our situation during this whole week due to my busy schedule.

"Don't mess up your silly mind too much, It'll be fine.

I looked up at Sasha, who looked totally relaxed as she casually sipped from her coffee while sitting with her legs crisscrossed. I was speechless by her carefree attitude, as my mind was running a mile a minute.
She looked at me and stated flatly, "Don't give me that stare as if you're also about to kill me as well; you know that you need me for Amber."

I sighed, " how can you be so relaxed?"

"Because I know her more than you do. She's a nice girl, a really good friend but she can be complicated at times. If you did nothing wrong then you shouldn't worry about it."

Her point was pretty considerable but still I knew this wasn't the right choice, if I wouldn't do anything we'll become distant and I couldn't live like that.
"Did you ask her anything about me?"

"As I once said the only time we get a chance to talk is during recess but others remain in front of us and if I ask her on call she'd know you're asking me to."

"Right, Oh! I forgot to ask about the situation in your class now, is anyone still troubling Amber?" I asked

"At first it was hard for Amber, she also had a quarrel with a girl but now everything's back to how it used to be. She's tough!"

"I'm glad to know everything is fine now" I sighed, "now I've to do something before it's too late otherwise I know for certain it's going to end and I would never let that happen."

Suddenly Jake barreled into the room, slamming the door behind him.
"Looks like I came at the right time.... I've got a brilliant idea to get you two back together."

"And what's that?" I asked disbelievingly, knowing that whatever he came up with would most likely be horseshit.

"So, me and Sasha had planned to go on a mountain trip and I thought it would be a great idea to take you and Amber with us. That way you two can spend quality time with each other. The only way to overcome misunderstandings is to spend time with each other, learn your mistakes and overcome the differences."

Jake's idea completely caught me off guard. He and Sasha had planned a mountain trip which I wasn't aware of. Jake thought that taking Amber and me along on the trip would help to resolve our misunderstandings.
I couldn't believe that Jake, of all people, had come up with such a brilliant plan.
"But will Amber agree to go on a trip with us?"

Sasha stood up in excitement. "It's such a nice idea, Jake. I'll be so much fun with the four of us" she said looking at me," don't worry convincing her for the trip is my job."

"Okay then everything's set, we'll leave tomorrow morning"
It appeared that everything was set for the trip and he gave Sasha a hug in joy.

It was such a happy wholesome moment yesterday however the present situation was a stark contrast. I was now sitting with Amber in the back seat of the car while Jake and Sasha were seated up infront, with Jake driving the car.

There was a wall of awkwardness between me and her. The atmosphere was awkward and filled with silence as she didn't even my way even once.

It was evident from her body language that she was still upset with me, but if she was truly angry, she wouldn't have agreed to go on the trip with us. Why would she even want to come if she had to ignore me for the whole trip?
