Sejal :

As we made our way around the table where the cake cutting was about to take place, I couldn't help but admire Dadi's elegance and beauty in that stunning pink saree. It seemed like the saree was tailor-made just for her, accentuating her gracefulness. The anticipation for the cake cutting grew stronger with every step we took. It was a moment filled with excitement and joy.

Dadi called Adhyaan, Tara, Urvashi, and Vedant to stand by her side, forming a circle of love and togetherness. It was such a heartwarming sight to see them all gathered around, ready to celebrate and share this special moment. Adhyaan and Vedant stood on Dadi's right side, while Urvashi and Tara stood on her left. Their smiles and excitement radiated pure joy, making the scene even more enchanting. I couldn't resist capturing the beauty of the moment, so I discreetly snapped a picture, wanting to preserve this memory .

But just as they were about to cut the cake, Tara's voice rang out, inviting Natasha to join their little gathering. Before Natasha could make her way to stand beside Adhyaan, he called out my name, beckoning me to come closer. The sound of my name on his lips sent a thrill through me, filling me with a mix of nervousness and curiosity. I couldn't help but wonder what he wanted to say.

"Sejal, come on, join us," he said with a warm smile, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. His inviting gesture beckoned me to step closer, as if he wanted me to be a part of this special moment. His charm was undeniable, but deep down, I didn't felt right to join.

I shook my head in response, silently conveying my reluctance to join their intimate family gathering. Something within me didn't feel right about intruding upon their cherished moments. It was as if a voice inside me whispered that I should maintain my distance, that this was a space meant solely for their family.

As Adhyaan's gaze locked with mine, his eyes silently beckoning me to join him, I couldn't help but notice Natasha's intense stare. It was as if her eyes were filled with curiosity and a hint of judgment and hatred, mirroring the gazes of the other family members also.

Reluctant to cause any further commotion or draw attention to myself, I took a deep breath and made my way towards them, slowly closing the distance. The new arrangement formed a scene: Dadi stood proudly in the middle, while Tara, Urvashi, and Natasha lined up on the left side. On the right stood Vedant, Adhyaan, and me, a newfound trio amidst the family's dynamics.

However, despite joining them, I couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling that I was intruding upon their personal space. The lingering gazes from the family members only intensified this sensation. It was as if their eyes bore into my very being, making me acutely aware of my presence among them.

To maintain a sense of respect and distance, I positioned myself a little farther away, ensuring there was a noticeable gap between Adhyaan and me. This physical separation acted as a protective barrier, shielding both him and me from any potential misunderstandings or complications that might arise.

As the cheerful melody of the "Happy Birthday" song filled the air, enveloping the room in a joyous atmosphere, everyone around me joined hands with Dadi to form a circle around the cake. However, I found myself standing there, hesitating to extend my own hands.

Lost in my thoughts, I suddenly felt a chilling touch on my waist, sending shivers down my spine. I was startled for a moment, but now I knew exactly whose hand it was. Slowly, the hand tightened its grip on my waist, pulling me closer to their side with a sudden force. My shoulders bumped into Adhyaan's, the impact not too strong but enough to startle me further. The touch already had my senses tingling, and to add to the intrigue,

Adhyaan leaned in and whispered into my ear.

" Hold my hands."

And in that moment, overcome by a whirlwind of emotions stirred by Adhyaan's proximity, I mustered the strength to follow his command. I reached out and intertwined my fingers over his, a gesture that symbolized a connection between us. Together, we approached the cake, our hands united, ready to partake in the joyous act of cutting it.
