Chapter 24

Today is the day.

The day I move out of my house and into my own...

With Kai.

My 18th birthday was 4 days ago and Kai absolutely spoiled me.

She bought a bunch of things with money that she earned from a job that she got working at a local cafe.

"Fucking hell I hate moving furniture" Kai groans as she's moved the bed to the middle of the room.

I laugh as I jump on the bed that's covered in black sheets and stare up at her.

"You did it"

"What do you mean?" She asks.

"5 months later and you're still here, living better than ever"

She smiles, "I have you to thank for that"

I hum.

"Hey Ivy?"

"Yeah?" I reply softly.

"I love you"

"Not possible"

She rolls her eyes as she pulls me in for a hug and cuddles me on the bed.

"Oh shit, I almost forgot"

"What?"

"Hang on" she says before getting up and leaving the room.

2 minutes later she comes back with her hands behind her back.

"Choose one"

I raise my eyebrows in confusion.

"Left or right hand?"

"Oh um....left"

She brings her hand out in front of her and In it is something that looks kinda like a file I guess.

I frown as I grab it but my face lights up when I read it.

A band has reached out to Kai.

"Holy shit! See I told you my dreams come true! I'm gonna be a rockstar girlfriend!"

She laughs.

"Oh my God! Congratulations baby...I'm so fucking proud of you"

"Thank you, love"

"Wait what's in that hand?"

She smiles before bringing her right hand out.

It's a red chocolate box.

I open it and freeze.

There's a diamond fucking ring in the middle with a note 'will you marry me?'

I look up at Kai and she staring down at me with a nervous expression.

"YES!" I scream and tackle her onto the bed.

I hear her sigh in relief as she mumbles, "I know it's not a lot but I know you enjoy the little things"

"This is the best proposal Kai, you have no idea"

"I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you" she says playing with my hair.

"Me too"
