Chapter 10 - Good News

Pratap was too anxious to hear what his father is saying while he is walking back and forth outside Anamika's bedroom, where vaidh ji is checking her. The vaidh ji already called the midwife as well and now she is also checking Anamika.  But Pratap was more worried since vaidh ji simply called for midwife and didn't tell anything regarding Anamika's health.

Putting an end to his misery, Vaidh ji came out and called him, "Yuvraj! ". Pratap immediately went to him and asked, "What happened Vaidh ji? Is Anamika alright? Why did she faint? Was she poisoned like Ranisa?". Vaidh ji interrupted him and said, "No Yuvraj! There is nothing to worry".

Before vaidh ji could complete fully, Pratap blasted at him and said, "What do you mean by there is nothing to worry? She fainted in front of me and you are saying its nothing?". Without giving him any more chance to speak, Pratap went inside their bedroom and saw that Anamika is awake.

Seeing Yuvraj there, the midwife and other Assistant maids went out smiling among themselves. Anamika saw Pratap being anxious and he asked her about her health. Pratap said, "Anamika, vaidh ji doesn't seem to understand about your issue. I will try and get some other vaidh ji even from other kingdoms. You don't worry. Okay? "

Anamika understood that he wouldn't have let the vaidh ji to speak which is why he is blabbering about her health. But she is internally enjoying his attention and care. And that will only increase, if she disclose the heartwarming news. She hugged him immediately to stop his worries and since he was sitting beside her on the bed, it was easy to do for her.

As she hugged, she could feel his heart beat which is too fast indicating his fear. Pratap stopped his rambling after her hug and reciprocated her hug thinking that she is afraid of her health issues which might be serious in his thinking. Anamika simply pulled her head away from his chest and looked at him in the eyes as he looked down at her and said, "The reason why I fainted is because I was weak. The food I eat doesn't satisfy the two of us."

"That's why I was telling you to eat more but you never listen to me. I will feed you myself hereafter so th-", Pratap stopped his words and processed her words. Then he looked her who is smiling widely at him and asked through his eyes whether it is true. When she nodded, he couldn't control his happiness which brought tears in his eyes but he didn't let them fall.

If Pratap's tears were due to the happiness of becoming a father, Anamika's happiness meant more than becoming a mother. This is not the first time for her as she is having the memories of the previous life. But what made her happiness double is that this time she got the chance of sharing it with him, the father of her baby, which she didn't get last time.

Outside their chamber Ranasa also got the news from vaidh ji and his happiness knew no bounds. Immediately he asked vaidh ji about whether there is two babies, to which vaidh ji replied that it can only be checked after few months with heartbeat. Then vaidh ji left from there and Ranasa was about to enter their chamber to congratulate both but later decided against it. Ranasa left the couple to have some privacy and left to deliver this good news to his wife who is still recovering.

Ranisa didn't care to check on Anamika and her health. But she was happy when she got the news from her husband that she is going to be a grandmother. Soon the maids working in the palace also got the news and they were rejoicing among themselves. All the court hearings were postponed for a week and Ranasa announced some donations to the people.

But alongside happiness, Ranasa had the fear of Pandit ji's words about safety of Anamika and the children. Moreover the recent incident of Ranisa being poisoned increased his tension. Already they have increased the security but still he couldn't help his fear. At last his ultimate solution is to pray for their safety.

Anamika and Pratap were still lying on their bed, in eachother's embrace. Pratap suddenly said, "Now it's to put all our imaginations and dreams into work". He said that remembering their discussions on how the baby's room should be, how the cradle should be designed and what not. Now it will not be just dreams.

Anamika asked, "Pratap! what if our child is a girl? I know we can try for another child but we cannot be sure right". Anamika voiced out thinking about their previous lifetime where Saudamini had six daughters and once again, he came to her.

"Yes we do need a heir but above anything we need a child. At least after the child is born, no-one would call you barren right. That's enough for now. And I think even if we have a girl, she would be like you, who would be capable enough to be a heir", Pratap finished.

"But our world will not accept a female heir", Anamika said. Pratap replied, "Then I will change the world for her". And he already started the first step.
