Chapter 9

Hayden's POV

after Steph took the others home Lena sat down next to Callie and I

Lena: hey love what are you thinking about?

Hayden: having a family again, but I don't think that I will ever be part of a family

Callie: why do you say that Hayden?

Hayden: They said all that needs to happen is for Donald to termenate his rights to Halley and I but Donald can only give up his rights to Halley 

Lena: what do you mean?

Hayden: Donald isn't by biological father

Callie: how do you know this?

Hayden: mom told me 2 weeks before she died

Lena: did she say who your birth father is?

Hayden: No

Lena: we will figure it out

Callie: Hayden you will always be part of a family

Lena: no matter what Hayden you and Halley are going to be mine and Steph's daughters

Hayden: but what happens if you can't adopt me?

Lena: you will still be with us, you aren't going anywhere, now it's late you should go to sleep so that you will have energy when you go home tomorrow

Hayden: ok, goodnight Lena

Lena: goodnight

Hayden: Callie will you sleep with me?

Callie: of course I will

Callie's POV

after Hayden had fallen asleep I sat up and looked at Lena and saw that she was awake

Lena: hey Callie what's the matter?

Callie: I've been thinking about who Hayden's father is

Lena: do you have any idea who it could be?

Callie: maybe

Lena: who do you think it is

Callie: Robert

Lena: as in you biological father?

Callie: yeah

Lena: why do you think that?

Callie: I just have a feeling

Lena: I'll talk to mom when we get home tomorrow 

Callie: ok

Lena's POV

Callie laid back down and I sat in the chair and started thinking about what Hayden and Halley had been through. They had been seperated from Callie and Jude for a long time. I still don't understand how that was even possible. I then started thinking about Callie saying she thought Robert was Hayden's biological dad, if he was would he want Hayden. I couldn't imagine her being moved from us we had only had them a few days but I had fallen in love with both of them. I must have fallen asleep because I woke up the next morning to the sun shinning through the window. I looked at my phone and saw that it was 8, the doctor should be in soon and we should be able to leave. I woke Callie and Hayden up right before the doctor came into the room

Doctor: Good morning Hayden

Hayden: good morning

Doctor: are you ready to go home?

Hayden: yes

Doctor: ok, I will have the nurse come in and get you out of here, Lena I have contacted a doctor for Hayden to see just so that she can be monitored since she has had a brain bleed it's very important that it is monitored

Lena: we will make sure that she is seen

Doctor: Miss Hayden you be careful I don't want to see you back here any time too soon

Hayden: yes sir

after the doctor left a nurse came in and took Hayden's IV out Callie took her into the bathroom and helped her get dressed while the nurse went over Hayden's new meds. After Hayden and Callie came out of the bathroom we walked to the car, I called Steph once we got in the car and let her know we where on our way home
