Dani's pov

-

"Ghosts are real and I don't care what you say" I hissed at Luna

"I never saw a ghost before" she chuckled

"Billions of people never saw the devil before but he's real" I said

"That may be true" she giggled
"Are you gonna try out today?"

"Yes, I'm heading there right after class"

"I'll be there" she smiled, Luna and I stepped into class and was greeted by the art teacher. Slowly, students piled into the class room and took their respective seats

"Today will be our last class for art until I return" the teacher said

"Won't there be a sub?" I asked

"You're the only sub in this class" Luna shouted from the back of the class, I glared at her and heard snickers from my peers

"Unfortunately there's no other person qualified to teach art other than myself" she smiled weakly, I nodded and pulled out my sketchpad

"I hope everyone's assignment is going smoothly, within the next two months I shall be back to grade it" the woman said

The rest of the class went on like a blur, I drowned out her voice and scribbed a few ideas into my sketchpad for what to come. She was just speaking about the basic stuff, it wasn't that important in the first place.

I felt a poke in my side, my fist clenched and my teeth grinded against each other from the small touch. I whipped my body around

Only to be faced with Mia, my body immediately relaxed. She held a bright smile on her face that seemed to calm me down

"Wanna walk with me to drama class after this?" she asked, I nodded and turned myself back into my seat.

As much as I loved seeing her smile or looking into her honey brown eyes, there was just a feeling weighing over me. A feeling I couldn't shake and it was becoming somewhat out of my control. Perhaps, the less I try the more it'll fade.

The bell rang, it vibrated against the walls. The teacher clapped her hands together and hopped of her desk. The students began to assemble their books aside to prepare for their next class. I closed my sketch and slid it under the desk, where I usually kept it.

I stood to my feet and brushed off my jeans, I found my way to the door, a sudden warmth spread through my body when I felt a hand hook into mine. I glanced down to the girl, Mia smiled sweetly as we headed in the same direction

"Are you okay? Your body is slightly... Cold?" she asked

"It's always like that" I admitted, Mia bit her lip and nodded in response

"What happened to you a few days ago?" she asked

"What do you mean?" I asked

"I... I don't know... You just seemed off in the library" she mumbled

"I was just, thinking about something" I said and pushed the auditorium door open.

The red interior met my eyes, golden spotlights lit a path on the red carpet floor. Class was being held on stage, we had a play to act out today. Unfortunately we weren't using costumes but we were testing out our blockings

"Good Afternoon class, please grab your scripts" the woman greeted us

We all nodded and walked over to the stage that held a stack of papers, we each took one of the scripts and scattered to random places, reading our lines. I walked over to the wall, our roles were assigned to the paper that was taped on it.
