a new story!

THIS CHAPTER SHOULD HONESTLY BE TITLED THE STORY OF GRAYSON'S ENTIRE WATTPAD "CAREER," BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT IT TRULY IS.

This was a topic requested by @balenciagabitch and I'm glad it was requested!

Honestly, I feel as if this is a question that every person asked themselves at some point during their time on Wattpad. I ask myself this every time I get a new plot idea: "How do I not write this story and publish it?" Half the time, I write what I want, publish it, and then never finish. Exhibit A: Canyon Moon, my Hermione Granger book. Exhibit B: Ablocate, my Criminal Minds/Spencer Reid book (yes, I am going to finish this story before anyone asks).

Most of the time, whenever I get this revolutionary plot idea—I write out everything in a Google Doc or in my notes app. By writing out everything in my mind, I am releasing all of those thoughts and letting out all of my pent-up excitement over this new plot. This is something that I find super helpful and usually leads to me not writing the plot, and only writing what I want for myself.

There is no solid advice to give that completely solves this "problem." I'm going to be blunt about this. There isn't. It's either you love the plot enough to write an entire book and finish it, or whether or not you simply just like it enough to entertain the idea. So, when you have a plot idea that you want to write, I suggest asking yourself this: is this an idea that, if I write, I will finish? Is it something I can see myself loving in a year from now? If not, then there's your answer. Don't publish it.

This was super short, but there isn't too much to say on this topic. If anyone wants me to go into deeper detail, I can. Just let me know!
