How to Fall... Without Trying To (GirlxGIRL)

I didn't plan for half these people to be here, but Jane invited a few extra people that turned into 30 extra people really quickly. Basically we have a penthouse party at this point, and the music is loud and raging as people dance and talk around the room. Jane and I promised ourselves not to drink alcohol for a while, but we allowed it to be at the party for everyone else. I walk over and place my arm around Jane's waist as she talks to a few people she invited

"Thanks for coming!" Jane smiles, "Enjoy yourselves!"

"Thanks, Jane!" A female, I recognize as one of her coworkers, smiles at her then walks further inside the house

"Is this your adorable girlfriend, Janie?" A female walks over with a male on her arm, "You've never brought her to the office parties so we've never had a chance to meet!"

Truth be told, I didn't want to go to half of Jane's office parties. They sound a little boring, to be honest, and plus I don't want them to publicize my every day life ... they are journalist...

"Hello" I give her a small wave

"I would wish you the best, but you already had it, you already had it, baby" blackbear sings, the beat filling the room

"Yea, she's not into publicizing our relationship" Jane gives her a wide smile, "Which I fully support, but maybe one day Casey"

Or not ....

"Maybe the Christmas party this year!" Casey smiles at me sweetly, "Or even the one in October for Halloween!"

"Maybe" I nod, looking to Jane and giving her a kiss on her forehead, "I'm going to go take a sweep around the room"

"I'll come with you" She takes my hand and I lead her around the room, talking to random people that came out to the party. A few hellos and introductions, and finally we stop in the kitchen for a few snacks to eat

"This is wild" Jane smiles, taking a cookie off one of the platters spread out in front of her, "I haven't had a party since high school"

"I hardly had them, but I did attend them" I shrug, opening and taking a swing from a water bottle, "I wasn't much a party girl, didn't want to ruin my dad's reputation in Europe. Plus every month I stayed clean; he'd send an allowance."

"Ahh, so he spoiled you to stay good?" Jane gives me a devilish smile, "I should try that sometime when you want to be naughty"

"Might work out for you" I laugh, leaning towards her and kissing her on her lip, "Try it out and see how it works out for you"

"Oh I most definitely will" She smiles, taking my bottle from me and taking a swing of it, "How long do you think this party will last? It's almost 1:30am"

"True, I wonder if we should shut it down before the neighbors complain"

"Which ones? The couple that lives under us is here" Jane points over to a couple standing across from each other and talking to some other guest, "I think we're safe for now, but I will probably shut it down in a little bit so we can get some sleep"

"I think that's a good idea" I stifle a yawn, "I'm going to enjoy every bit of sleep I get tonight"

"As long as it's with you? My sleep will always be great"

"You're such a romantic" I smile, pulling her into my arms and walking back into the living room

The day after the party, we wake up to articles on our party and even a few pictures of the guest. There's even a photo of Jane and I kissing, to which I'm not absolutely sure who caught that one because it's super close and clear
