Chapter Twenty-Eight

Charlie's POV

It was a bright Saturday morning. We finally reached the end of our soccer match and we won! I was very happy of course but I couldn’t help but feel disappointed at my performance during the match

Our student body are cheering and jumping loudly and each one of us is hugging each other in sheer joy, and when coach brought us the trophy, the cheering grew louder

“We did it!” Spencer yelled as she jumped on my back, I quickly loss my balance and we fell on the grass

We laughed as we got up then I saw Elise waving by the sidelines, “Be right back” I said to Spencer and headed towards Elise

When I got to her, I quickly gave her a hug

“Congratulations! You were awesome!” Elise pulled back and gave me a kiss

I smiled and kissed her again, “Thank you!” and hugged her again

Then I felt someone pat me from behind, I pulled away and looked and was surprised to see Kylie

“Congrats Charlie!” Kylie happily said

“Thanks! Glad to see you again!”

“Yeah, you too cutie pie!” Kylie smirked

Our conversation was cut short when Spencer called me for a winning team photo shoot

“We’ll wait here for you” Elise said, I nodded and went back to my team where we got together and took pictures, Spencer also announced that she’ll be having a victory party at her house later and everyone is invited

After all photo shoot, I went back to Elise and we rode in Kylie’s car and headed home

“Oh hey, there was a guy who recorded the whole game and was selling copies of it, I bought one for Aunt Gwen, she would definitely love to see you play amazingly”

“Thanks but I wasn’t amazing, I only played during the second half and I even got a yellow card”

“But only because you were so into the game” Kylie interjected “Don’t be so negative, You played awesome Charlie”

“Kylie’s right, you were great and your team won so you’re also a winner”

I just nodded, “oh by the way, Spencer’s having a victory party, you guys wanna come?”

“Thanks but I think it’ll be best if I stayed home and rest, I got really excited during the game and I think the baby had enough excitement for one day”

“And I will be with her, because I’m her home-buddy” Kylie said

“Okay then” I said “oh, I’m gonna be going home late, so don’t get worried if I’m still not home at around 9, I promised Spencer I’ll help her with some computer stuff after the party”

“Okay, but call me alright?” Elise said as Kylie parked the car

“Yes ma’am” I answered then kissed Elise got off, “Thanks for the ride Kylie!”

“Anytime!”

I waved then went inside to my house to take a shower and get changed before heading to Spencer’s
