"BUCKETS! SAY HI TO THE VLOG," spoke Le'ana. "Wassup, y'all." Paige smiled, waving over at the camera. Le'ana had decided to start a YouTube channel, simply bored of all the content she has and does nothing with. Fans were overjoyed to hear this as they'd begged her for weeks.
"So today, we're headed to play Duke. It's a home ga-"
"WE'RE WINNING GIRLY POPS!" intervened none other than KK Arnold, jumping over to Paige and Le'ana whilst wrapping an arm around both their shoulders. "KK, it's too early for this." Paige rolled her eyes, knowing she yearned to be alone with Le'ana. During this tournament, the pair were unable to see each other as often as they did, not during games or anything, but just simple dates or cuddles.
In the time Paige spent reminiscing on how much she and Le'ana hung out, KK had disappeared and the pair approached the destination they were walking towards. The camera follows Le'ana and Paige as they walk into a cosy local café near the UConn campus. The café is filled with students, many of whom are also decked out in UConn gear.
Paige had taken over the vlog at this point, snatching the camera out of her girlfriend's hands. "We also start our day with some fuel at the UConn student café. Best coffee in town, hands down."
"Hmm, their bagels are amazing too." Le'ana agreed, eyes shut imagining the incredible bagel she was about to indulge in. Le'ana laughed. "Bro- you're so big-backed." Le'ana's eyes opened smacking Paige.
They place their orders and sit down at a table near the window. The camera captures the lively atmosphere of excited fans.
"Paige Bueckers ESPN, we're here with Miss Le'ana Rodes.So, Le'ana, what are you most excited about for today?" Paige spoke, pretending to be a reporter.
"Honestly, the whole experience. From tailgating to the actual game, it's all so exciting. And taking on Duke is going to be intense!" Le'ana replied as if she was in an actual press conference.
The camera transitions to outside Gampel Pavilion, where UConn students and fans are tailgating. There are tents, grills, music, and a sea of blue and white. Le'ana and Paige walk through the crowd, greeting friends and soaking up the atmosphere.
"This is tailgating, UConn style! LSU had nothing similar." Le'ana slightly shaded her former school.
The duo continued walking until they reached inside the stadium. The camera captures the iconic facade of the Gampel Pavilion as Le'ana and Paige make their way inside. The energy is palpable, with students filling the stands, waving signs, and chanting. The UConn Huskies and Duke Blue Devils fans are in high spirits.
"Y'all the energy is crazy!" Le'ana looked around with wide eyes.
"Go Huskies! We're ready to bring the noise!" Paige screamed. Le'ana's hands came up to her ears to block out the loud noise emitted from the blonde.
The pair walk through the arena as they head to the locker room. The scene transitions to a locker room where the UConn team is gathered. Coaches are going over strategies and motivational speeches. The camera captures a bit of the behind-the-scenes preparation.
"Remember, it's all about heart and hustle today. Play smart, play together, and we've got this. Now, let's go out there and show them what UConn culture is all about!" Shouted Geno, prepared for his team to dominate.
the team sat in their lockers talking to each other. Nika and KK had taken over the camera at this point and unknowingly to the pair, they were filming the couple. Paige was tracing yet another flower on Le'ana's hand and KK knew fans would crumble at the mere sight of it. Le'ana decided to include that clip, just as a tease before the camera changed to tip off.
"Let's go, Huskies!" They all put their hands in cheering on three.
Highlights of the game are shown, with Le'ana and Paige making significant plays. The camera captures thrilling moments, the crowd's reactions, and the intense competition on the court. UConn is playing strong and maintaining a lead.
The game ends with UConn winning. Le'ana and Paige are celebrating with their teammates on the court. The camera captures their joy and excitement as the crowd goes wild.
"We did it!" Paige cheers, arms around Le'ana's waist, practically screaming into the camera. She kissed Le'ana on the cheek before running around in the background. The other girl was left with a crimson tint on her face as she spoke.
"This was an unforgettable experience! Thank you for joining us on this amazing gameday adventure. I love y'all." She blew a kiss to the camera, waving goodbye.
The camera fades out with shots of the jubilant UConn fans celebrating outside Gampel Pavilion.
