I walked a little behind them
They talked like I wasn't there

Miles has a pretty smile
And a pretty laugh
He's just a pretty person in general

We went to this alley and I just went in a corner and did my own shit

They'd make conversations with me but I like to do my own shit..ya know?

I finished my art and I liked how it came out

Just a lil sum quick

It was cute though

I sat cross crossed with my backpack in between my legs and my back on the wall behind me

I watched them have fun

It made me miss my dad

Is that his dad?
That's not the point

I wish I had someone that was there for me like that

I felt myself falling asleep as the faded music playing in my headphones took over everything

Miles pov

Uncle Aaron nudged my shoulder and pointed to y/n

She had her hood up and I think she was sleeping

"Sooo..ya like her?"
"Yeah..I mean no..maybe? I mean she's pretty but I don't think she likes me even as a friend"
I mumbled rolling my eyes

"You gotta rizz her up ya know"
"Yeah yeah whatever"
"You think you could carry her?" I nodded and walked over to her and uncle Aaron grabbed her backpack

He picked her up and put her on my back

"Surprised she didn't wake up"
"I think I heard her mom say she has jet lag..that's probab..." I trailed off when I felt her lips against my neck

Why did uncle Aaron put her face so close I've never been this close to a girl

"You good?"
"Y-yeah..let's go.."
We started walking back

Once we got to her house I snuck in and put her in her bed

I quietly walked out and started walking to my door

"Have fun at your fancy school tomorrow miles.." he said patting my back and I grinned at him

"I'll try"

Y/n POV

My alarm woke me up

I forgot

Holy shit today is the first day of that school mom put me in

I popped up and looked over

Oh yeah I never unpacked my suit case

I grabbed my suitcase, my school backpack and my secret backpack and put them by my door

I started putting on the uniform and I looked in the mirror

Meh

I fixed my hair and went to eat breakfast

This day is goin by smooth already

"Princess i can drive you to school today"
"If you don't have nothing to do Mami"
"Ai my baby is growing up so fast I won't be able to see you until Friday" she fanned her tears away

I smiled
"I'll come back as soon as I can..I won't be that far Mami"

We walked out of our door
My backpack on my shoulders and my other one on my suitcase neatly

I see miles stumble out in a similar uniform

Me and my mom both turned our heads

He smiled awkwardly at us and started leaving

"Such a nice boy..and he speaks Spanish"
"Uh-huh that's enough Mami" I rolled my eyes as we started walking to her car

Once we got there I saw miles pull up in a cop car

He walked out with his stuff

The lights flashed
"You gotta say I love you back.."
DAMNN
"Dad are you serious?"
"I wanna hear it..'I love you dad"
"You wanna hear me say it?..you're dropping me off at school"
"I love you dad"
"Look at this place"
"Dad I love you"
Miles groaned and put his head up
"Dad.. I love you"
"That's a copy..tie your shoes please"
Everyone started laughing at him

I wish I could say I love you to my dad one more time but it's whatever

But you know
You don't miss them till they're gone
