Taiyo's POV
As I was behind the painting after Kyoichiro appeared and started fighting everyone as my blood was practically boiling at the amount of bullshit coming out of his mouth to emotionally manipulate Mutsumi into never leaving the house as my control was snapping
Never in my life have I felt such hot blooded rage and fury since that day as all my freaking out and panicking suddenly turned into anger as got out of painting and went straight for Kyoichiro with speed I didn't know I posses
SLAPED!!! The sound of flesh meet flesh as I slapped the man right in face as he seemed caught off guard as I glared darkly at him
"Let go of Mutsumi, your making her uncomfortable" I told him calmly as Mutsumi and her siblings looked at me in shock at what I have just done
"I never expected you to be so bold but I will definitely eliminate you for Mutsumi's safety" He said as he was about to get ready to attack me as I decided to speak my mind out
"You know it's impossible for me and Mutsumi to develop any romantic feelings or even get married, right?" I asked him calmly causing him to pause as everyone besides Mutsumi looked confused
"Your saying Mutsumi isn't good enough for you?" He asked me darkly as I looked at him unamused
"No, it's because I'm a girl and Mutsumi's Childhood friend who acts like a boy shield for her" I said with a straight face as everyone seemed to be digesting this new information
"WHAT?!?!?!" They all yelled as I felt a little satisfied in surprising them but I just looked at Mutsumi who was avoiding eye contact
"Didn't you ever tell them I wasn't a guy?" I asked bluntly as she seemed a bit embarrassed
"It never really came up..." she trailed off nervously as I just gave a tired sigh in response as I glared at Kyoichiro
"I know how an older sibling can be protective about their younger sibling but you've taken things too far and I can admire your dedication for wanting to protect Mutsumi because I want to protect her too" I told him with a straight face as flashes of my little brother's face came to mind "Because she stuck to my side when I needed her most and refused to let me feel depress! Even though I really wish she would stop trying to set me up with a guy..." I muttered that last part of my speech as he was very silent
Then he did something that caught me off guard as he put a cherry blossom ring on my fourth finger as he was beaming with a smile that was full of love directed at me as everyone else seemed to be surprised as well
"Your perfect!" He told me as I was confused "I never believed there would be such a magnificent person that will protect and love Mutsumi like myself! Let's get married!" He declared as my brain short-circuited at his words
"Brother?! Marriage?!" Mutsumi asked in surprise as I was still in shock
"Of course my precious Mutsumi! She knows our secret and her unwavering desire to protect you are perfect qualities for me to love! Also it only makes sense for her to be a part of the family and to train her to be a protector for you!" He explained in delight as my brain was rebooting
'A man proposed to me...I'm engaged to... my teacher and Mutsumi's brother...' as I was slowly processing everything as everyone seems to be yelling at my sudden engagement with Kyoichiro and his apparent love at first slap seems to make me snap out of my shock
Then I mustered all my strength I could clenching my fist as I punched my new fiancé in the gut as he fell over and I felt my headache hitting me at full force
"Mutsumi I think I'm gonna go home now...and rest" I told her tiredly as she looked at me worryingly as Nanao dragged Kyoichiro away
"Okay, Taiyo and I'm so sorry for everything that just happened" she apologized as I just wave it off
"Don't worry about it Mutsumi but please next time tell your family more about certain things to avoid another misunderstanding" I told her bluntly as I was suddenly feeling tired all of a sudden
"Let me walk you to the gates..." she told me as she lead me out of the house which was a pretty big mansion as I bid her goodbye and headed straight to my house
I practically collapsed on my bed not bothering to change as I was utterly exhausted but I felt cold all of sudden
'Despite this disastrous misunderstanding and almost dying then getting engaged...Mutsumi's house was lively and warm...I feel a bit envious...' I couldn't help but think as I closed my eyes and fell into a dreamless sleep exhaustion finally catching up
