"Amaris, are you nearly ready? The ceremony will be starting soon." Ria groaned from my bedroom. It's been 2 weeks since we brought Cory to live with us, we've settled into a nice routine. Rhydian has been busy with his Alpha duties, Cory is excelling at school and settling in well with us while I've been dealing with this damn Luna ceremony. After living in the human world for so long, this ceremony is exactly like a wedding - minus the rings of course! And I made sure I told Rhydian the same thing. I'd be happy doing it in our kitchen over the sink, then I'm back in the pack fully by the blood bond to the Alpha and I'll be their Luna. But, no I'm not allowed to do that.

I have to wear an over the top white dress, I'm not thrilled at all with it. It's uncomfy and shows far too much cleavage than I want it to. Just wait until Rhydian sees you in it... Ria has made a point of telling me that every time I complained about it. Lucas and Ria have told me to suck it up and deal with it.

I mind linked and text Alex letting him know when the ceremony was. I haven't heard from him in just over a week, I'm not worried though. I know he can handle himself. I'm not holding my breath for him to attend. If he was coming, he would have let me know.

"Seriously, I'm going to come in there in a minute... We have to do your hair too!" She yelled. "I'll be there in a minute," I growled. I glanced down at my dress and sighed as I smoothed my hands down the front.

The dress stopped just above my knees. It's fitted at my chest with a sweetheart neckline with a diamond-encrusted bust. It flows out at my waist which is probably the only thing I like about it.

"How are you doing?" Rhydian's voice filled my mind and I could feel myself calming down. I sighed through the open link. "Not good, huh? Cory is excited, wait until you see his little 3 piece suit." He chuckled. I smiled and could imagine Cory strutting backwards and forwards showing off his outfit. "Why couldn't I get ready with you?" I whined. "It's tradition, baby." He chuckled again.

"Fuck tradition. You make it sound like a human wedding... You're not allowed to see the bride before the big day." I groaned sarcastically. His laugh filled my mind and I was overcome with lust. My arousal reaching its peak. Ever since things have been quiet and I've been readjusting to actually living as a werewolf, all I've wanted to do is jump on him. No matter where we are, what we're doing, it always ends up with me on my back.

"You know you could come and calm me down, don't you? Fuck me while I'm wearing this pretty white dress." I purred through the link. "Fuck off, Red. Get ready and get your arse to the ceremony," He growled. "Guess I'll have to sort myself out." I sassed. I won't but it's always good winding him up. "I miss the days when you were innocent." He growled. "I'll see you soon, baby." He added before I felt the link go down.

I chuckled and opened the bathroom door. Ria was standing with her arms crossed, a frown on her face. I raised my brow at her and chuckled. "Ok, I'm done. I've got the dress on, you can calm down." I smirked. I trudged over to my dressing table and flopped down on the chair. "Goddess Amaris! Be careful with the dress." She scolded. I rolled my eyes and shrugged.

She stood behind me and looked at my hair. "How do you want it?" She questioned. I shrugged and messed with the makeup on the dresser. She rolled her eyes then started pulling at my hair, twisting and turning it until it was in a crown braid ponytail or bun, I'm not sure because all I would have done is shoved it up in a messy bun or kept it down.

"There, you look stunning." She smiled at me through the mirror. "You're not putting this shit on." I deadpanned. She rolled her eyes and spun me around. "Listen here, this is the one day Rhydian can show off his Luna to all the packs." She glared at me, "Just do me a favour and behave." She groaned. I chuckled and nodded my head. "Of course. Come on, you can put a little on me." I offered. Her face brightened and she beamed at me.

After she'd applied all different beauty products to my face she stepped back to admire her work. "Well, what do you think?" She spurted excitedly. I turned and looked in the mirror. I'm not exactly sure what she had put on my face. I had crimson red lipstick on, my cheeks looked like I was constantly flushed and my eyes had the smokey eye effect but this time it was red and black.

"I will admit, I like what you've done," I admitted with a smile. She clasped her hands together and squeaked. "I'm so glad. The red is a hit, I've noticed he calls you red." She smirked. I chuckled and nodded. She bent down and held two white heels in front of her. I stood up and shook my head. "Oh no, I'm not wearing heels. That's where I draw the line." I deadpanned. "So, what are you going to wear?" She huffed.

I went over to the closet and pulled out a bag. I took out the white diamante pumps and held them up with a grin. "At least they aren't trainers, I suppose." She shrugged. I laughed and nodded. "Well, come on then. We better get a move on before he thinks you aren't going." She chuckled, ushering me out of the room. "Wishful thinking." I groused.

She huffed and marched me out of the house. "Where's the ceremony been held?" I questioned. That's the one thing Rhydian said I couldn't pick, I had free reign on everything but that. "It's a surprise. Come in, we have a bit of a walk." She announced as she strolled off into the night. "And you wanted me to wear heels?" I chuckled as I caught up with her. As we reached the outskirts of the forest, hundreds of fairy lights lit a pathway through. There was concrete slabs creating a path disappearing into the forest.

"Come on." She burst tugging on my hand. We strolled along the path as I admired the area. The fairy lights were beautiful, they were reflecting into the path and grass, they looked like little stars. It was surreal. "Where are we going?" I asked again even though I knew she probably wouldn't tell me. She hummed happily but ignored my question.

We moved further into the forest and my heart started beating fast. I knew this route... "It's the waterfall, isn't it?" I asked breathlessly. "Yes. I can't wait for you to see what he's done. Amaris, you're going to love it." She bubbled.

As we got closer, his scent hit me. I could sense him, I could feel the love pouring out of him. My palms began sweating and my body was buzzing with anticipation. I couldn't wait to see him. I think I finally understand about not seeing your mate until the actual ceremony, the bubbly feeling of knowing you're so close and in any minute, you're going to be face to face is overwhelming. It's making me want to run just to reach him faster.

As I approached the waterfall, my breath caught in my throat and my eyes went wide. He'd turned the most beautiful spot into something out of a fairy tale. Chairs with red bows were lined on either side of the path filled with all of our pack members. Rose petals were scattered all over the little walkway leading to a flower arch full of different kinds of red flowers. Rhydian was siding with his back to me with Cory by his side, both had their hands in their pockets. The trees were lit up by hundreds of more fairy lights. I gazed at everything in awe.

"Fancy seeing you here." I turned and my eyes widen before a small snarl escaped my throat.
