New profile picture! The last two years on my birthday (I turned 29 yesterday!), I've posted about it on twitter and got a stupid amount of likes so this year, I thought I'd take advantage of it and get my books in the picture too haha XD thought it would be a good excuse to update my profile picture across my accounts as well!  

Absolutely STUNNED and over the moon that Chimera made the ONC shortlist. I do so badly with awards and things on Wattpad that I can't quite believe it XD So happy to see so many novellas I loved on the shortlist but sad not to see others there who totally deserved to be amongst the list ♥️

Congrats to everyone who got through onto the longlist! Really pleased Chimera got through.
          
          But I'm even more pleased with the fact that I did my very first podcast today with Rock, Paper, Swords, a historical fiction podcast on Spotify. I was SO SCARED but it went really well and I talked about the process of writing histfic, queer representation, research and even mentioned Wattpad! I'll post a link once the episode is out but I'm so happy I conquered my (very bad) social anxiety today ♥️♥️

Hey everyone! Quick note from me. I have been very busy offline with book 3 of the Nightingale/Courtney trilogy and I'm finally seeing the light with what has been a very thorny, difficult book. 
          
          As for Wattpad, I had tentative plans to start uploading another sci fi, Darkside, soon, hoping to enter it as Ongoing in the Wattys. But I see now that in the new rules, a story entered as Ongoing one year can't then be submitted as Complete in another year. So that means I won't be rushing into doing this sci fi (which I...probably didn't have time for anyway XD). 
          
          However, I have been planning it and will hopefully start uploading later this year once Book 3 is sent off (dependent on the plans for my next offline project which already has some ideas down and I'm excited to pursue). 
          
          Before uploading Darkside though, I want to finish my Moby-Dick retelling novella (another sci fi). It's nearly done and I'm excited to share it! 
          
          And I'm also excited (and terrified) for ONC longlist results soon!

Hi everyone! Just a quick note to say that I might have to step back from Wattpad a bit now ONC is over. I will try and catch up with reading the ONCs I have in my library and lists but I'm experiencing a bit of a crisis of confidence in my off-Wattpad works and am struggling with my manuscript a lot. 
          
          I don't really have anything to post on Wattpad atm until my Moby Dick space AU is completed offline (want to try out the scheduled posting for that!) so it won't change anything about my Wattpad writing but it just might take a bit longer to get anything up here.
          
          Good luck to everyone in the ONC, I'm kinda hoping Chimera does okay to give me a bit of a boost in faith XD

I’m rooting for you for Round 3, and I really look forward to book 3 of the sublime Nightingale / Courtney story. They have my heart! 

I've just submitted Chimera to Round Three of the ONC! This is my first completed ONC entry and my first time submitting to anything beyond Round Two of the ONC so I'm excited. I've loved reading and interacting with people through ONC and thank you to everyone who has read, commented, voted on Chimera. 
          
          What's next for my writing? My main focus is off-Wattpad now, as you know. I have Book 3 of the Nightingale/Courtney trilogy to finish and send off, and then I have a couple of projects that I will be focusing on but I can't say anything about them at the moment. 
          
          As for Wattpad writing, I *can* say about that haha. Chimera is my first dip back into science-fiction after a long time away from writing it and I have fallen back in love with the genre. Wattpad will be my space (no pun intended) for my sci fi stories within the 'Stars Lead the Way' universe, including: 
          
          Astra Nova - When a ship goes missing in the hostile Lacuna system, broken BASE astronaut Veronica 'Ron' Walsh has to team up with the BASE's rival space agency on Mars, and their rising star Astrid, to find out what happened to it. 
          
          Darkside - Commander Rhett Palmer is sent to the decaying moon base Colchis to discover its viability for future operations, uncovering intrigue and secrets along the way and dealing with his own past trauma. 
          
          First of all though, I will be finishing my Moby-Dick space AU novella, The Heartless Void, which I have got about 25k down of and meant to finish before ONC took over!
