The next chapter for “Chained upon scales of change” will come out this week! It’s mostly gonna be a bonding time with Tyrone and Aubrey though...

Skipping or time jump with the characters in your story will not allow us readers to understand or even feel any connection to them.  
          
          I can see it the way you skip many details because you might have felt that you are being repetitive or repeating the same synopsis as the original author Christal 
          
          If a reader cannot connect with the characters the interest in them is gone quickly 
          
          But so far you made this story interesting and yours because you have created 3 characters that are completely different from the flock of fire lizards  with particular features that are unique...
          
          You can ponder on those features like the fact that the Kimary will determine their different abilities? Or anything that can set them apart from  the fire lizards  
          
          You can always find a way to demonstrate their particular way of hunting the antagonist Sicora or any other pesky rodents that have an impact in the city ?
          
          You can always tell an adventure for each one with a good sense of selflessness each one has to demonstrate to help the kimary ?
          
          They can meet with the elders to introduce them as a different kind of lizards dragons  
          
          Many ways you write that story it all depends on how many chapters you are willing to write 
          
          To help you focus choose a title for each chapter a phrase that resumes the story you want to tell in that chapter 
          
          Each chapter can reflect the POV from each one of them; that way can do some skipping time jump between each one of them but maintain some consistency so that a reader don't get lost or loose interest in the story 
          
          Most importantly write it down at your own pace without posting it yet until the story ends !!
          Once you written the whole book you can post each chapter at your own pace or schedule without feeling pressured to get inspiration or to write the next chapter when you get a writer's block ‍♀️
