At least they gave us some warning, rather than try to keep it secret up until the point where it couldn't be hidden any longer.
Some survivalists are going to take their chances underground in caves or whatever shelter they can find; others try to fly into the Earth's night shadow. Well good luck to them I say! Rather than postpone the inevitable, we'd prefer to die drunk in each others arms making passionate love as that final scorching solar flare dawn breaks over us. I hope we've made the right choice; that our end is mercifully quick and painless.
