Hey guys! I know it has been a long long long time since I last updated, but I can explain. I have been very, very busy these last few weeks, and I have found little to no motivation to write. If you feel this story is good enough for a comment, a vote, or to be added to your reading list and/or library, please do! All I ask of you guys, my lovely readers, is to continue reading this story. I am extremely sorry for how long some chapters, especially this one, will take to come out, but please continue to read this story. I love you all! Keep on reading and writing! <3 GLO_08

From Jace's Perspective

Silas was gone.

Disappeared.

Vanished.

In the blink of an eye. She was here and then she wasn't.

Her scent is here and then it stops.

I felt my heart break, a tiny fracture that was the sign of a shatter that was sure to come later.

I couldn't process it.

Couldn't fathom it.

The fact that she was gone.

She was gone.

Silas was gone.

From Julian's Perspective

I watched Jace, the sound of his cries filling the silent night air.

I wanted to go to him; to comfort him; to tell him I knew where she was; to tell him I knew how to save her.

I took a step and Jace turned, his golden eyes glowing in the dark.

No, my wolf warned. I paused. He is not in control. He will not understand.

The message was clear.

Wait.

From Silas's Perspective

I awoke to the smell of burning flesh and the continuous, monotone sound of water dripping onto cement.

Drip.

Drip.

Drip.

I could not see. A bag was over my head, once again taking away one of my senses. This time, the victim was my sight.

I tried to lift my arms, desperate to remove the darkness.

I could not. I tried my legs, my shoulders, my neck, anything.

Nothing happened.

I was unable to move, paralyzed in my own body. Stuck in a cage of bone and skin.

Drip.

Drip.

Drip.

I was suffocated, unable to break free of the darkness, of the invisible hands holding my body in an embrace mimicking those given by long-lost lovers.

Drip.

Drip.

Drip.

I tried to scream, tried to do something so I knew I was awake. So I knew I was alive.

No sound came out.

Drip.

Drip.

Drip.
