The girls beat Dave home, Mom takes the food in while Erica starts
unloading her clothes and their salon purchases. After putting the diner
in the kitchen mom comes out and helps Erica finish unloading
everything. When Dave gets home, Jill greets him with her signature hug
and welcome home kiss. Erica hugs Dave's neck and kisses him sweetly on
the cheek which is quickly becoming her signature welcome home greeting
for Dave.

Dave, "Hi girls, did y'all have a good day."

Erica, "We had a great day, Daddy! Are you hungry?"

Dave, "I'm starved, and the BBQ smells great. Why don't we open a bottle
of wine and have dinner on the patio. Give me 5 minutes to get out of my
suit."

When Dave gets back the girls have made him a plate as well as theirs
and were waiting for him on the patio with three glasses of wine.

Dave, "Wow you girls are going to spoil me."

Erica, "Oh Daddy don't be silly besides we love spoiling you."

Dave, "So girls tell me about your day."

As he has done all week, Dave sits back as Jill and Erica joyfully
recount their day as they eat their BBQ dinner on the patio. They tell
Dave how they started their day washing, conditioning and blow-drying
their new hair. How the shampoo smelled, and the conditioner left their
hair soft and shiny but how their old blow dryers were underpowered for
their new hair. How the lessons learned from Beth and Lori the previous
night had made them confident that they could take care of their new
hair styles.

Dave heart swelled with love for these two beautiful and feminine
creatures that brought so much joy into his life. Next his wife and
daughter gave him a full briefing on their shopping time in the Macy's
Junior department and the fun each had trying on all the cute clothes.
Dave again smiled as he enjoyed watching the delight in his wife and
daughter's eyes. Jill and Erica told Dave about their fun girlie lunch
at la Madelaine. Dave smiles again this time thankful that Jill now had
Erica to take to la Madelaine as it was not his favorite place to eat.
He was more of a meat and potato kind of guy he thought as he bit into
one of the baby back ribs the girls had put on his plate.

Jill spotted a smidge of BBQ sauce in the corner of Dave's mouth and
leaned into Dave kissing his lips and licking the BBQ seductively, "Mmmm
you taste like BBQ Boy."

Erica laughing, "Mom let's keep it PG at the table."

Mom, "Sorry baby, but I can't help myself sometimes, your stepfather is
a hunk."

Dave laughs and the girls giggle. The girls then tell Dave all the
different stores and boutiques they went into and how they tried on
several outfits but how nothing spoke to them so they would move on.
Dave thought how no clothes had ever spoken to him, so it must be a girl
thing. Jill got excited when she told Dave about the purchases, from
American Eagle, how they found a cute white jean skirt that was precious
on Erica, but the real find was a pair of blue jean shorts that fit
Erica like a glove. Erica blushed hearing her mother.

Dave smiled, "Baby Girl, after dinner why don't you give us a fashion
show of all the clothes you two bought. I'll help your mom do the
dishes."

Jill laughing, "If I knew I would have gotten that offer we wouldn't
have eaten on paper plates."

Dave, "If we had eaten on real plates, I may not have made that offer."

Jill leans over and kisses Dave, "I love you, sometimes I don't why, but
I do love you."

Erica smiles at this display of true love and affection between her
parents.

Mom, "Honey I think your stepfather has a great idea, I think a fashion
show is a wonderful idea for our after-dinner family time."
