Neteyam felt sick.

Like, really sick. So sick, he wasn't sure if he was going to pass out, throw up, or just drop dead at any moment.

Was he being overly dramatic? Perhaps. Yet that still didn't stop him from feeling this way. All of last night he couldn't sleep from his nervousness, not that he would've been able to get rest anyways with all the questions Lo'ak had for him.

The two somehow managed to make their way back to their families hut without anyone, specifically their father, noticing they had gone. They had been busy attempting to get Kiri to drink and eat, which they successfully did, before she fell back asleep. Surely exhausted from the day she had.

That's exactly how Neteyam felt as well, but how stupid he felt for thinking his brother would let this new information he acquired go so easily. Because just as the rest of their family drifted off to sleep, his younger brother took the opportunity to drag him outside.

Neteyam remembers suddenly feeling a hand over his mouth, and when he looked up, he saw Lo'ak with a finger over his mouth, indicating he wanted him to be quite. Then with a thumb over his shoulder, he motioned that he wanted him to go outside.

Lo'ak left first, and Neteyam tried ignoring him by laying back down. Yet that's when a small but hard object was thrown at his head. He sat up annoyed and surely enough, it was Lo'ak who threw it.

With the quietest groan he's ever done, he realized he had no choice but to follow Lo'ak.

" What's your problem?" he hissed lowly once he reached his brother.

Lo'ak seemed almost too excited to truly pay attention to him, " I need to know what's really going on with you and that white haired chick."

" Her name is Vareya, Lo'ak." he growled. " And there's nothing more to say, I've already explained everything. So call it a night.  I'm tired."

Lo'ak wasn't having it, " That's such a lie and you know it. There's way too many blank spaces in your story and I won't leave you alone until I figure them all out. So wouldn't it be easier just to tell me?"

Neteyam rubbed his head, he was starting to get agitated, " There is nothing left to say Lo'ak, so drop it!"

The anger laced in his voice made his brother drop his head, ears lowering slightly. With a snarl he responded, " This island has changed you Bro, and not in a good way. I mean, sneaking around, lying to our parents, looking for trouble by approaching that girl? Sorry if I'm upsetting you, but can you see where I'm starting to become just a little worried about you?"

Neteyam didn't want to lie to him, but there was no way he could ever tell the truth. It seemed like earlier he had finally broken free of his sneaking around and constant lies, but now he could either continue getting upset at his brother for merely being curious of his sudden switch in actions, or cover it with another lie.

One that has to seem believable, one that makes sense, perhaps even one that has crossed through his brothers mind already. Oh he's sure to regret this, maybe this will only cause more problems for him in the future, but it's the only thing that fits in this situation.

Wiya wiya wiya wiya wiya wiya.....

" Fine, you're right." He lifted his hands, showing
his sign of giving in, " I haven't been telling the whole truth."

" No shit sherlock, what is it? What have you been hiding? I need the real reason why you still go to see this chi- Vareya. The reason that made you continue to see her."

Well, here goes nothing... " Can you promise me you won't say a word about this to anyone?"

Lo'ak nodded his head furguiously, " I promise bro."
