"Wow, I don't know about you guys, but I'm so full that I could explode" Jeongin exclaimed as he laid his head on the table

Their meal wasn't really the classic Christmas lunch, but everyone enjoyed it, well everyone except Seungmin.

It's not like he didn't like the food, he actually really liked it, he was just planning on sitting next to Minyeong, but Minho and Jeongin were faster. That's what really upset him.

That was, in reality, the primary reason why Seungmin invited the girl to stay with them for Christmas. Well, he obviously didn't want her to stay alone on a holiday but the main reason was to get closer to her.

He would never admit or tell this to his hyungs because he knows that they would tease him about it for the rest of his days, but Seungmin had some feelings for Minyeong.
They had actually just met in real life, but the boy couldn't help but fall for her. She was special in his eyes.

Seeing her laughing with two of his best friends made him quite jealous, given the fact that his friends were already suspecting of Seungmin's feelings towards Minyeong.

The boy tried his best to hide it but his friends have known him for a long time so they know him more than he knows himself. Minyeong, though, still doesn't seem to notice Seungmin's crush for her.

"Earth to Seungmin. I repeat, Earth to Seungmin" Jisung said, waving his hand in front of the younger's face

"What?" Seungmin snapped out of his thoughts "I'm here"

Minyeong slightly chuckled "Okay, now that we're all done eating, I'll give you your presents. Give me a second"

The girl got up from her seat, went to the living room to pick up the bags and got back to the dining table.

She gave out the presents at random, the gifts weren't labelled since she didn't know their names before and the contents of the boxes were something that everyone, hopefully, would enjoy.

However, one of the presents did have a label, Seungmin's. The other gifts were things like necklaces, rings and earrings, but she got something special for Seungmin.

One after the other, the boys opened their presents and then Seungmin's turn came.

His gift was bigger than the others, which made the boy wonder if Minyeong bought something special just for him.

He carefully unwrapped the present and took out a strange object from the box

"A... plastic middle finger?" the boy looked at Minyeong, totally confused

"Yeah! It's a lamp, it lights up if you pull its finger" the girl explained as she pulled the plastic finger, causing the object to light up

Everyone burst out laughing, even Seungmin. He did find the situation quite funny, but he was a bit disappointed. He definitely wasn't expecting a big middle-finger-shaped lamp.

"Are you disappointed?" Minyeong asked the boy

Seungmin panicked internally. Was he showing it? He was trying hard not to, to not make her feel bad

"N-no" fuck, he stuttered now she'll think that he's ungrateful AND a liar

He was expecting the girl to become sad or insult him but, to everyone's surprise she started laughing.

"Oh God, you should look at your face, Seungmin" she continued laughing "Did you really think I was serious? Even I wouldn't gift something like that to someone"

She took something out of one of the bags and handed it to Seungmin.

"Here, this is the true gift. I just wanted to prank you to see your reaction, it was definitely worth it"

The boy took the item in his hands. It was a cute dog plushie.

"It somehow reminded me of you so I bought it" she chuckled

Seungmin couldn't help but smile as he imagined Minyeong seeing the plushie on a shelf and smile when she saw the resemblance with the boy.

"Thank you"

Seungmin hugged the girl

"That was... unexpected" Minyeong said as Seungmin pulled away, realising what he just did "Not bad, just unexpected"
